It depends who you are trading and how much better than Lowry the player you get is. The point is I don't think we have any WRs outside of Jordy and Cobb that we can trade for a Dlineman who is better or has more potential to be better than a Lowry. The Dlineman you are going to get for a marginal player you're going to cut anyway is an at best marginal player whose team was probably going to cut him (such as a Lowry, Price, or Ringo). Then that player is going to be cut or inactive anyways after 4 weeks (probably about the time they start catching onto the playbook) when Pennell comes back.

What bubble lineman from other teams do you have in mind that are worth making a move for? It's fun to talk about making deals but doing it just for the sake of moving players around doesn't make any sense. Keep in mind this guy will have to learn our playbook and make the 53. Na, I'll just run with the guys we got unless someone good pops up on waivers and try to sneak a guy like Allison or Davis onto the PS after we cut them.

We probably got a 9th round pick 2 years from now for McCray big deal. That's about the equivalent of getting nothing and about what we could expect to get out of one of our WRs that were going to cut.

Buffalo's desperation was key. Getting an ex Bronco was probably enticing to Rex Ryan.

We know Ted has a list of guys he'd like. However, he'd rather gamble than cough up anything. He's going to have a hard enough time figuring out what 53 he wants from his pool of ... I like the guys we've got. Wasn't sure on ILB so I panicked and added McCray, but I was wrong. Love my homegrowns now and don't really want an outsider for DL.

After thinking about it big picture style, it just kind of makes sense.

Regardless of why we signed McCray I think we all hope that he contributes nicely for the Bills. I know its not like a free agent where those who do very well can net us a higher comp pick but if its a conditional pick based on McCray's performance I think we would all want to get the most out of it we can.

I agree with Nerd, I didn't see the McCray signing as anything more than insurance and if he was going to get cut anyway (I have a hard time thinking he wasn't going to be) why not get something for him. Contrary to what some people think a 9th rounder in two years IS better than nothing.

Someone capable on DL is also better than what we have.

I'm pulling for Tyler Kuder. A nice try hard guy from Idaho who'd be a stop gap.

I was pulling for Price since early on but Kuder has flashed to me a couple times. I'd be cool with either of them.
