That's impressive. You can't keep everybody.

My thought? A fluke.
He had a good game against Jacksonville.
He was burned several times by A.Luck in his last game.

He is still afraid of contact and looking for interceptions instead of just covering his man.

First , Mr. Hayward is no longer on the GB Packer roster and therefor I don't wish him or his current team well .

Second, as this player is not a Packer, why is this thread in the "Green Bay Packers Talk" category ?

This thread, IMO, belongs in the "Around The NFL" category along with the rest of the non-Packer threads .

San Diego got a steal signing him for only 5m per year.

Definitely a good BYE week discussion for us considering how our Secondary has kind of flopped against Steffon Diggs and Marvin Jones.

I don't think the Packers could have fiscally retained his services, especially when everyone was thinking Secondary was a big strength. Unfortunately, it appears Damarious Randall has regressed a little bit and injuries to Sam Shields and Morgan Burnett are exploiting him more.

A lot of DBs look great when they get to cover the #3 or 4 receiver in certain schemes.

As for Heyward. As long as he doesn't play GB I wish him all the best. And when he plays other NFC teams I hope he gets 2-3 pick 6's a game. He gave GB the best he could when he was with them. I have no ill will towards him. It's not as if he stuck it to them he he left. TeddyT didn't want to resign him. Even on his way out the door he helps GB as they will benefit with a comp pick.

dfosterf (11h) : Suit him up and have him stand in front of the big board as a draft day cautionary tale.
Zero2Cool (12h) : Packers sign T Andre Dillard.
Mucky Tundra (18-Apr) : Adds most of the information this time of year comes from agents.

dfosterf (8-Apr) : I say he is better than so many of these draft picks
dfosterf (8-Apr) : Question of the week for me: Has anyone besides me done any deep dive into the potential of Alex McGough, our 3rd string qb?

beast (5-Apr) : Probably not going to let Diggs walk away unless he's horrible... but according to reports he also might not be as good as he used to be.
beast (5-Apr) : The 25th pick in the draft has been an offensive player since 2017, 2 TE, 2 WR, 1 RB, 1 OC

Mucky Tundra (4-Apr) : Gotta imagine that Green Bay vs Houston will be a primetime game this upcoming season
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : No. Kill QB. No worries. 😁
Mucky Tundra (3-Apr) : Diggs, Collins, Dell and Schultz is gonna be tough to cover
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Stefon Diggs' trade will not be processed as a post-June 1 designation, so that is just over $31 million in dead cap this year.
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Bills trading WR Stefon Diggs to the Texans in exchange for a 2025 2nd-round pick. (via @rapsheet)
