Maybe you are like me and thinking "how the hell can you play FOOTBALL with a broken rib?". I've asked that myself time after time going back to last week. I've had bruised ribs before and walking up a flight of steps or even laughing made me cringe. Before you judge me, I've been doctor told I have a very high paint tolerance.

What do we value most about Jordy Nelson as a receiver? He makes those sideline difficult catches where he's outstretching his arms.

I played football with those aforementioned ribs (sandlot ball, not professional) on a daily basis and I could only outstretch one hand when I was playing Safety. On offense I was QB. (again, only sandlot ball). This matters SLIGHTLY because if there is a fumble or interception, Jordy could miss a tackle trying to not injure himself further.

The Packers can equip Jordy with a protective vest, but the real question doesn't come with pain, it comes with BREATHING. If he can't run full speed, he is absolutely useless. If he can run his full speed, he can at least be a helluva decoy as a threat to the defense to be concerned about.

During the 2010 season, LeSean McCoy ran 18 times for 92 yards and a touchdown. Why is this relevant? I'm glad you asked. It's relevant because McCoy played with a broken rib at the running back position. "I can breath, that's the biggest thing about this injury, people are nervous about breathing", said McCoy.

James Jones played with broken ribs but I'd like to see his stat lines of how he performed with them.

I know even sneezing can be incredibly painful with even some torn cartilage in the ribs.

Jordy apparently can breathe just fine. Can he catch or take a hit. That's a giant X marks the spot for a DB.

He'll have to catch long TD passes where he outruns to the endzone untouched.

Some of us may need that needle if it's like it was last week.

I remember last time we played atlanta in the playoffs - the while FB nation said atlanta was going to win and we took it to the house. Was the game that pretty much got us going to the end. Be funny if it was the pack vs the steelers again.

just keep an 02 stat on him and give him a nasal cannula on the sidelines, he'll be alright

Didn't Sterling Sharpe play part of a season with a cracked rib?

Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : No. Kill QB. No worries. 😁
Mucky Tundra (3-Apr) : Diggs, Collins, Dell and Schultz is gonna be tough to cover
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Stefon Diggs' trade will not be processed as a post-June 1 designation, so that is just over $31 million in dead cap this year.
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Bills trading WR Stefon Diggs to the Texans in exchange for a 2025 2nd-round pick. (via @rapsheet)
beast (3-Apr) : Using Patterson as RB and RB/WR tweener... so I think they also signed Patterson as a 3rd down RB, not just a kick returner as articles are
beast (3-Apr) : I think PFT missed the real Steelers/Patterson connection, Steelers new OC Arthur Smith has been Patterson's head coach the last 3 years
wpr (2-Apr) : It has Martha. I was stunned when I was in HS to learn Iowa was still playing half court BB in the 70's.
