Joe Thomas has been stepping it up very nicely, it'll be an interesting battle for playing time if everyone was healthy with Ryan, Martinez, Thomas and Burnett all being able to play that ILB role, and young Safeties who could be stepping up to allow Burnett more freedom and maybe not at SS as often.

He has made a few keys plays during the "run the table" streak. He has stepped up when there have been injuries. All in all he's done well for the time he has been in the game.

When you look at the backups like Thomas, Brice, Allison and Dean Lowry they all have contributed when they are on the field.
