Assuming reasonable contract, do you want to see Eddie Lacy back with the Packers?

Eddie Lacy isn’t closing the door on a return to the Green Bay Packers.

And it doesn’t sound like the Packers are, either.

“Talking to my agent, the Packers have been very vocal about having me back there,” Lacy said in an interview on Adam Schefter’s "Know Them From Adam" podcast that will be available on Tuesday.

Lacy, who is coming off ankle surgery that limited him to just five games last season, will be an unrestricted free agent if he doesn’t re-sign with the Packers before March 9.

“I’m trying not to think about all of that right now,” Lacy said. “I’m just trying to make sure whether I end up in Green Bay or somewhere, I’m in the best shape or I’m in the best position I can be in personally, so when it’s time for me to contribute to whatever team that it is that they’re getting 100 percent of me.”

I guess having him back will depend on the market. I would offer him a 1 year deal for around $2M with some incentives. Chances are he will want more guarantee so we will have to wait to see what other teams will offer him.

I really liked what I saw from Monty at RB. I just don't know if I want him running the ball 20+ times a game.

As always if the deal isn't out of line 3 years seems to be reasonable. I doubt they would get him for fewer years than that.

I believe in Eddie and want him back! He played well in his limited time this season. The grit he showed in his final game of the season was incredible!

I hope they bring him back on a 2-3 year deal for a few million a year. That would be a bargain. But I think it's more likely for a one year deal at about that price tag.

Edit because I can't spell

I took Lacy's words, used google to translate them to Korean and back to English. Here is what Lacy actually said:

"Ted said, "2M x1 with incentives, take it or leave it and once we sign another RB, the offer's coming off the table." So my agent told me to go on the radio and "leak fake news" that GB really wants me back to try to generate more interest from other teams."

I like him....if the price is right. His past injury problems would keep me from offering him big time money.

Would YOU want to play here? Maybe for an extra couple mil. It's a cultural Siberia for non whites too.

Just my opinion of course.

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Lol everybodys mad at Lacy because of how he looked. He actually ran really well last year and he plays his ass off even when he's banged up. I'm not going to pay a premium for him but if the price is good there's no reason not to want him back.

Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : No. Kill QB. No worries. 😁
Mucky Tundra (3-Apr) : Diggs, Collins, Dell and Schultz is gonna be tough to cover
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Stefon Diggs' trade will not be processed as a post-June 1 designation, so that is just over $31 million in dead cap this year.
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Bills trading WR Stefon Diggs to the Texans in exchange for a 2025 2nd-round pick. (via @rapsheet)
