Green Bay has drafted eight WRs in the last six drafts

The Packer might draft a WR in the early rounds..... or maybe in the later rounds. I need to write that down somewhere so I won't forget it. What about the middle rounds? This is one of the reasons I don't go to the Packer website for real information.

GB , IMO , must and will devote the early rounds to drafting Defense. However by the 5th or 6th round a WR could be picked. Many believe that Nelson/Cobb/&Adams are the WR answer in GB. A WR with "Huge" hands could be most welcome to the Packers .

That prediction is going out on a limb. Like a weather-Person predicting there will be a 50% chance of weather.

Many could argue high draft picks used at we this year and next year to replace Cobb and jordy

Many can't understand what you are saying here. Okay, just me. What?

I think what gbguy is saying that there is a possibility of us moving on from Jordy and Cobb next season. It may make sense to draft somebody this year to get a year under their belt. The cost of cutting Cobb is quite favourable next year if he does not have a rebound season. Jordy had a pretty good bounce-back season from injury. Perhaps we change his role to a slot guy?

I could see a WR being picked early. We've always been willing to take WRs in the first couple days even when people didn't see them as needs. We've got a 30+ WR in Jordy, a FA in Davante, and a guy not playing up to his lofty contract numbers in Cobb. Behind them we don't really have any strong prospects. We don't just draft for next year, these guys sign 4 year deals. If there is a really good WR available early I don't think they'll pass on him just because a defense position is more of a need this coming season.

My request is always for that 6'5" freak that catches everything, can jump really high, and has 4-3 speed.

Anyway, I expect the Packers to add 2 receivers through the draft, free agency, or undrafted players. Keeps the guys on the roster at the top of their games and it probably is the most important position on the offense next to Rodgers.

After GB picks up a Quality CB in the first round, then a DE in the second round, and an OG in the third round, a WR would be ok. Greasy fast, not less than 6'2" and "HUGE HANDS".

What concerns me is that Rodgers can hit WR in the hands with the football, but the WR don't catch the ball.
James Jones did have large hands and IMO it was his edge .

Add Tawan Taylor to that bunch as well. For some reason (maybe it's his smooth routes) he reminds of Jennings. Would be thrilled with either of those 3 in the 3rd or 4th. Defense should be primary in this draft, but keeping Aaron stocked with weapons is of major value as well.

Haha we know the packers avoid those athletic freaks like the plague. I'm content with someone whose between 5'11 and 6'2, who can separate at the top of their route, (As I think Davis might be our field stretcher this year) and can handle press coverage (either by bullying the DB back or a quick release off the line).

I always like reading about college guys on here. I don't keep up on college players, so I learn a lot from you guys.

I have to admit I do not catch much college games. What I do do is after the season read as many websites as I can about prospects by position and then watch the youtube videos that are out there. I do watch the combine and video of college workout tapes as well. Watching games is often tough as the level of competition makes judging difficult. The East - West Shrine game is pretty good they just need to advertise it more. A lot of luck goes into a good showing there one must admit unless you're a defense guy for the most part. Being on cue offensively with limited reps and comfort is sometimes hard for some guys to look good.

Zero2Cool (22h) : Hi 😊😉
TheKanataThrilla (21-Feb) : I guess I should have did a refresh when I walked away from the computer.
TheKanataThrilla (21-Feb) : Peters is 25 with one year left on his contract at just over $3M
Zero2Cool (21-Feb) : Mel Kiper sticks with Marcus Davenport to GB in 2nd mock
Zero2Cool (21-Feb) : As for Marcus Peters, how old is he an what's his contract years left?
Zero2Cool (21-Feb) : Packers got tired of Sitton's antics.
Zero2Cool (21-Feb) : Sitton was released not because of play or salary, but personality. He will not be re-signed.
TheKanataThrilla (21-Feb) : If we are planning on possibly cutting Cobb I can see the 2nd round pick. A second round pick for Peters is a pretty good deal.
Smokey (21-Feb) : I'd offer Cobb + a 3rd round pick + a 6th round pick in 2019 for the CB Peters from KC.
TheKanataThrilla (21-Feb) : I guess that is a highter round pick
TheKanataThrilla (21-Feb) : Suggestion was a 2nd round pick. I would want a lower round pick. I think that is too much. A 3rd or 4th seems about right.
Smokey (21-Feb) : Cobb and WHAT PICK ?
TheKanataThrilla (21-Feb) : A suggestion I saw was a trade of Cobb and a Pick for Peters. I think that would be a great move.
Smokey (21-Feb) : Sitton was drafted be GB in 2008, not a young man at this point, but still is a "bear" of a man.
Cheesey (21-Feb) : Sitton? Maybe if the price is right.
Cheesey (21-Feb) : I doubt the Packers would try to resign Sutton. But who knows? If the price is right?
Zero2Cool (20-Feb) : Bears declining option on Josh Sitton. He'll be Free Agent.
Zero2Cool (20-Feb) : Chiefs CB Marcus Peters trade rumors -- come to Packers!
