Hate that 3 of the last 4 and 4 of the last 6 are on the road. The only home December game is against MN.
Having a Monday night game AFTER the bye is poorly timed.

I think the bye being mid season is a big deal though. Rough finish but at least we will have the playoffs at home Flapper

The week 4 (Sept. 28) game at home against the Bears is GB's only Thursday game for the entire season. They won't have to cram to get ready to play Dallas or Detroit on Thanksgiving Day. The Bears at home that one Thursday night does appear to be maybe a blessing in disguise. It will give GB extra time to heal and prepare for the trip to Dallas in week 5 .

As far as the games following the bye being easier, there are 5 away games in 9 games. GB has only 3 away games in the first 7 games . I see both sides of the bye being tough for varied reasons. How tough still remains to be seen as the Draft and TC still lie ahead .

Cheers!

Am I the only one who thinks this is a favorable schedule?

Sure, the first couple of games are against tough opponents but I'd rather face those teams in the beginning when some of those teams may still be attempting to get it together (sure that goes for the Pack as well).

Glad we get the Seahawks at Lambeau. That is a good deal.

Depending on how this winter is, Packers will have to play in 1-2 "cold weather games" in November-December. Favorable.

You never know which team will be good at what time and often it's a week to week league. I'm just happy about the mid-season bye. Fuck yea to that.

I think this is a very good schedule for the Packers. Seattle, Atlanta out of the gate which should be two of the toughest conference opponents and we get to face them when they pretty much have NO idea how we are going to use our two new TEs in the offense. No west coast trips. The week 5 and 6 with both road games with Dallas followed by MN is probably the scariest part as Dallas should be a tough road game, at least MN is almost a home game travel wise.

I am most irritated that we don't finish the season against a division foe. That is my only gripe. Early prediction. 13-3. Super Bowl Champions.

Interesting schedule. Given the tendency for McCarthy teams to start off slowly, we could be looking at an 0-2 start, which would make for some dissension in the ranks. No Lambeau Field advantage in December, but maybe that plays to this team's finesse tendencies.

I could see that happening. I'd even go as far as saying that we could start 2-5 if you don't come out stronger than we did last year.

Seattle and Atlanta are better teams as a whole and both could shred up our secondary. The Bengals are a play-off calibre team when they have their weapons healthy. While I'm not that big a fan of Ross, pair him with a healthy A.J. Green, Giovanni Bernard and Tyler Eifert and our defense could, again, be in for a rough day.

The Cowboys are beatable, but it's pretty much the same story. They have a complete offense with great O-line. Their secondary is a mess, though, but they did just improve their pass rush quite a bit.

The Vikings have a good team and we play them in Minnesota. The Saints aren't that good, but you don't want to get into a shoot-out with Drew Brees. Something that it looks like it might come down to, looking at both teams on paper.

If we come out as strong as we're capable of, you go into the bye 6-1 or 5-2. If we come out limping like we tend to do, I can see us start the season 0-3 and hit the bye week at 2-5.

Also, it'd be great if we start sucking a bit more. First noon game in week 6 is ridiculous and hell on earth for foreign fans.

I hate having all the "non traditional" starting times too. Especially the games I will be at. It really messes with my work week.

Zero2Cool (5m) : Good! smack some posts in the forum right?!? :-) can't wait to read it
uffda udfa (2h) : No more clutter.
Cheesey (3h) : Go get him Uncle Ted!!
Zero2Cool (3h) : Former Packers pass-rusher Datone Jones is back on the market.
Zero2Cool (5h) : Good news for #Packers secondary: rookie CB Kevin King and vet CB Davon House (quad) both practiced. King has cleared concussion protocol.
Zero2Cool (5h) : Vince Biegel back on practice field!!
Zero2Cool (12h) : Maybe this little shout has no value if people gonna use it instead of the forum.
Zero2Cool (12h) : He's not writing. He's shouting, and its making the shout kind of without point with the clutter.
buckeyepackfan (17h) : Just like last year at 4-6. The guy is just too funny!
buckeyepackfan (17h) : GOOD news Uffda is already all but writing The Packers off for 2017!
uffda udfa (21h) : Masturbation talk from Barfan? Nothing could make me COME back, quicker.
wpr (22h) : Maybe the shout box needs to take a timeout. People keep using it. ;)
Zero2Cool (23h) : Why do this is in shout? So frustrating. Post in forums. Thanks
Barfarn (23h) : Masterbation will relieve some of that nervous tension!
uffda udfa (17-Oct) : Now, a guy they really liked and have groomed for 3 years is the guy. Tons of toys on O. Let's see how it runs with a great coach, now.
uffda udfa (17-Oct) : The Flynn Patriots game has been used to say that he is. Seneca and Scott showed otherwise.
uffda udfa (17-Oct) : Hundley is going to settle the debate once and for all in whether Mike McCarthy is a great coach, or not.
uffda udfa (17-Oct) : Doesn't speak well to the talent acquired by the org, does it? Easy to say talent is great until Rodgers is gone and you have to see it wit
Porforis (17-Oct) : Could Sam Bradford come into the Packers and post a winning record from here on out? Are there any non-starters in the NFL that could?
Zero2Cool (17-Oct) : Teddy is replaceable. Aaron is not. Vikings have a really good defense. We do not. Understand??
Zero2Cool (17-Oct) : You are wise enough to know the difference. Right?
uffda udfa (17-Oct) : Here's one for you, Z. Vikes lose Teddy B. and go out and aggressively get Bradford. Packers lose 12 and go out and get a UDFA.
uffda udfa (17-Oct) : :) Evans had a pre-draft visit with Packers.
Zero2Cool (17-Oct) : Put it in a topic. My lord why so difficult lol

uffda udfa (17-Oct) : Was previously on Eagles PS
uffda udfa (17-Oct) : Tweeted the below due to huge chip on his shoulder for going undrafted after leaving early.
uffda udfa (17-Oct) : Packers add Jerod Evans to PS. He went undrafted: https://twitter.com/rodfor6_/status/858382534274682884
Smokey (17-Oct) : NO a 6 point favorite to beat the Packers in GB .
Zero2Cool (17-Oct) : Yes!!!!!
