Good signing.
Will bring more competition in camp for that starting RG spot.
At worst he adds veteran depth.
All the draft "experts " have been saying this year's draft is weak at the Guard position, maybe Ted agrees.

I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

I can see only upside to this signing. Won't cost the team much at all, and get a good veteran to play if needed or at minimum competition and somebody for the young guys to learn from.

The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

He isn't here to "compete" for the starting RG position... He is here to be our starting RG.

Nice move. This helps the Packers not feel as much pressure to use a high pick on an interior lineman.

I guess even Teddy realized that Barclay isn't the answer. I don't know how much Evans has left in the tank. Hopefully he won't be as bad as the Sunday signing. Naw, no one can be that bad.

It gives Lucas Patrick and Kyle Murphy more time to be game ready to play. I wasn't in the least bit surprised Ted Thompson let Lang walk. Guards don't usually get big money in Green Bay. Would have like to have seen Tretter resigned though. Versatile, cerebral player.

Not in his prime but quality starter if he is on the field. Can't argue with affordable depth. Don't believe it changes any focus or strategy in the draft. Lessens the impact if a BPA lineman isn't available during the draft. Smart move.
