You were looking for Kyler Fackrell to come on this year, weren't you? Unfortunately, that isn't going to happen and may never happen.
The post We Can Already Assume Kyler Fackrell is a Bust appeared first on Total Packers.

This article seems a bit over dramatic after only one preseason game... but it has reminded me of how much we draft value we have put into OLB/DL pass rushers and how little we've got out of them.

Sounds like LB coach Moss would like Fackrell to play more aggressive and take more chances. Of course, with Moss being the coach, if he wants someone to be less assignment-type and more risk taker type, he should be coaching that as well. So it's partly about what you as a coach emphasize to the player as well. So emphasize taking risk and when to talk them, if you think Fackrell is being too assignment sure.

I remember an article where Elliott talked about Matthews has helped him a lot with when and where to take those risk...

This is a much better article on Fackrell, sounds like he really lacks strength and it shows when someone uses a power move on him during drills, but also sounds like he has good production numbers because opponents have trouble with his style and length... leading to good pressure percent per snap and ST tackles.

“Fackrell has always been a cerebral player,” associate head coach/linebackers Winston Moss said earlier in camp. “He’s more of an assignment-type player, and so he focuses on that a little bit more. We’d like him to be more, I guess, break out of that a little bit. Our position is about making plays. Talking about that, we’d like him to play with some more aggression, play with some more risk-taking and look to be more disruptive.

“I try to create a scenario in which you can enhance his ability to bring out his aggression, to say the least. I’m trying to find a story for you, I’m trying to find something for you, kinda drawing a blank here. But it will come.”

I think Fackerell will be an ok rotational guy this year with a chance to make a difference in subpackages. Not expecting an all pro now, or anytime soon.

Only like using bust in extreme circumstances and I don't usually go for this type of click-bait stuff, but if you ask me if I have faith in Fackrell... not much really. Just don't the sense of a killer instinct from the guy. Biegel will replace him in due time.

I've lowered my expectations for Fackrell but to call him a bust this early is a mistake. He could still put it together and be a solid rotational player at OLB.

Whoever wrote this article likely gave up on Adams + Nick Perry last year before they broke out, and has already written off Rollins + Randall.

Martha Careful (5-Apr) : Diggs has not stepped up in the playoffs and has a high cost
beast (5-Apr) : Probably not going to let Diggs walk away unless he's horrible... but according to reports he also might not be as good as he used to be.
beast (5-Apr) : The 25th pick in the draft has been an offensive player since 2017, 2 TE, 2 WR, 1 RB, 1 OC
Mucky Tundra (5-Apr) : Odd, why give up a 2025 2nd Rounder for him if you're just gonna let him walk?
Zero2Cool (4-Apr) : Texans to let Diggs be free agent in '25
buckeyepackfan (4-Apr) : 49r's aign RB Patrick Taylor.
Martha Careful (4-Apr) : Reversion to the mean would indicate we will keep it

Zero2Cool (4-Apr) : The 25th pick in the draft hasn't been made by it's original holder since 2016.
Mucky Tundra (4-Apr) : Gotta imagine that Green Bay vs Houston will be a primetime game this upcoming season
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : No. Kill QB. No worries. 😁
Mucky Tundra (3-Apr) : Diggs, Collins, Dell and Schultz is gonna be tough to cover
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Stefon Diggs' trade will not be processed as a post-June 1 designation, so that is just over $31 million in dead cap this year.
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Bills trading WR Stefon Diggs to the Texans in exchange for a 2025 2nd-round pick. (via @rapsheet)
