The PI non-call. How far past the endline did the moon-rocket pass land?

We got away with one there. The only reason I could see to not call it, was after the initial contact, Jimmy ended up with both arms around the defenders helmet looking like he pulled the defender into him.

There was no punch... but there might of been an elbow wedged to the throat at the end.

Adams did go down as if he was punched though, and CB Lane's right arm was extended, that's the best I can come up with, for saying a punch was thrown. And then it looked like Lane's left arm sorta coiled-up like it was gonna do something, but at best that's an open hand slap to the back as Lane gets on top of Adams.

[Edited, I believe the ref Dave Parry (who I read called the ejection, is on the sideline to the right (not shown) of these camera angles]

I believe between these two videos you see the whole thing.

That is why I am wondering if the punch happened around the 50 and Devante goes after Lane in response.

Granted, I only saw the replay once but it seemed extremely straightforward to me - Rodgers was chasing after the defender, another defender is running up from behind and shoves him in the back enough to alter his course. Didn't make a difference in the play in the end but still. Can someone explain this to me?

I mean, he drove his forearm into Adams' face then down to his neck. DEFINITELY shouldn't have been an ejection but I'm not surprised it was a flag.

I could agree with an unsportsmanlike on Lane, Devante should have been flagged also. Can't find anything just justify the ejection either.

Between your video and my two videos, they show the entire play for Adams... he did not get punched.

So I think the block in the back call was wrong, but I can understand why a Ref could make that mistake.

I don't think it was a "punch", but the guy did shove his arm into Adam's neck. That could be what they flagged.
The push into Rodgers back wasn't that much, but it WAS in his back which is a foul.
About time we get some ref "payback".

As far as the ejection - regretfully its not necessarily the 1st hit that gets the call its the 2nd. And ya land had his elbow in adams neck.

the endzone no call Ive seen many no calls like that not a big deal.

but glad those calls went the way they did

There were also 2 Seattle false starts that were not called; I donā€™t get that; thereā€™s a guy who only looks for that! And though Wrightā€™s hit on Rodgers was not late, it was clear Rodgers was giving himself up and Wright put some unnecessary shoulder into his hit; he was trying to injure and could have been flagged. These are in addition to the other uncalled penalties on Seattle already mentioned.

Laneā€™s behavior 100% warranted ejection. The refs saw this in real time, not slow mo. Adams should have been flagged too, but that only happens if the ref is looking. Usually the ref in his peripheral vision sees two bodies bending in unnatural ways and he looks just in time to see a retaliation.

Hereā€™s what the ref sees: at 3 second in 2nd video Adams is on the ground ā€œon all fours.ā€ Lane jumps on him for no apparent reason and uses his body to drive Adams in the ground and simultaneously uses his elbow/forearm to drive Adamsā€™ head into the ground. Now look at Laneā€™s move at 8-9 seconds. Lane makes a fist and it makes a swiping motion as it contacts Adams helmet at forehead and Adamsā€™ head turns in direction of swipe. John Wayne never punched a guy on a movie set; but it did look like it live, didnā€™t it? In real time this could have easily looked like a punch, even though I dont think it was. But, then Lane continues, he just wont freaking stop; he dry humps Adams with his forearm on Adamsā€™ neck for another 5 seconds. This whole thing took 10-11 seconds. If Lane had a bit more time; Adams would have had to go into the pregnancy protocol tent.

A punch or forearm shiver is a 15 yarder; 3 violent moves [or what looked like violent moves in real time] over 10-11 seconds is an easy ejection. The taunting call on Cobb was ridiculous unless the refs discussed having a trigger finger on the flag to quell the bad blood. If this was a concern, and I'd guess it was, Lane had to go to stop any escalation.
