Now, out of nowhere, rumors of a potential return of the XFL have surfaced, with Brad Shepard reporting that McMahon is “looking to bring back the XFL and may announce it on January 25th, 2018.”

The XFL may not compete with the NFL; McMahon suggested in his comments to Ebersol that the league could be connected.

“I don’t know what it would be,” McMahon said. “I don’t know if it’s gonna be another XFL or what it may be or how different I would make it. It seems like in some way it would tie in either with the NFL itself or the owners.”

Sounds like Vince McMahon is looking to get back into the football world, and this time WITH the NFL, instead of against them.

Honestly with the reduced practices, the NFL could use a minor league system more than ever before! And man do I still miss the NFL Europe games during the NFL offseason, it helps the offseason go faster.

There is clearly a want, and clearly a need, now the question is do they have a market? And will people be willing to work together on this?

Also maybe not helping things is Vince McMahon is CLEARLY a Jerry Jones guy and Jerry Jones is clearly having some drama among the NFL right now, which sounds like the majority of the owners don't like the drama.

I'd LOVE to see a Milwaukee team!
When they had the Arena Milwaukee Mustangs, then the Milwaukee Iron, it was fun to watch.
I even got a football at the one game that bounced into the stands. You got to keep any ball that came into the stands during a game.
After the game we were allowed on the field with the team, and I got them all to sign it. That kind of fan friendly thing is missing from the NFL now adays.

Vince is getting the money ready for something BIG!

Vince McMahon sells $100 million of WWE stock as XFL reboot plan continues

Rumors that Vince McMahon wants to reboot the XFL are officially more than just rumors.

Today the WWE revealed to the Securities and Exchange Commission that McMahon has sold about $100 million worth of stock, and that he did so “primarily to fund a separate entity from the Company, Alpha Entertainment LLC, which Mr. McMahon established to explore investment opportunities across the sports and entertainment landscapes, including professional football.”

He announced his plans for the first version of the XFL in early 2000, and that league began play in early 2001. So perhaps McMahon will announce XFL 2.0 in early 2018, and play will begin in early 2019.

Phrases that Vince McMahon is reportedly filing trade makes include:

"XFL"
"He Hate Me" (the most famous XFL jersey name)

"UFL"
"United Football League"

"URFL"
"UrFL"

"For the Love of Football"

I'm wondering what the "URFL" stands for (other than Futurama's "Ultimate Robot Fighting League")... and does the "UrFL" mean the "r" might not be as important?
United Real Football League?
Ultimate Rough Football League?

I've got three words for him.

Pay College Athletes.

I wonder what would happen if kids out of HS could go play for him and get paid, rather than going to college. would he be able to woo enough high talent college players from the NCAA.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!
