It looks tough, but then again, if we do win most of the games and hopefully the division, we will know it’s because we have a decent team, and not because we had a weak schedule.

That Rams game is gonna be rough. Not looking forward to watching the Packers try to block Aaron Donald and Suh while trying to throw against Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters.

Rams D will be nuts.

This year the GB Defense will face Teams with some of the NFL's best Running Backs. Among them I include the Ram's Todd Gurley and the Falcon's Devonta Freeman. David Johnson for the Cardinals and Rob Kelly for the Redskins are two others.

GB's already strong front 3 and the LB corp will need to stop these strong runners and provide a serious pass rush as well. The Patriots can be counted on to have a respectable running attack as well. More can also step up their running games that we may not see just yet.

IMO, BG saw this coming difficulty and acquired Mohammad Wilkerson to help to deal with it.

The Safeties and maybe even the CBs could be needed to stop some of these elite runners.

The 2018 Packer Schedule

Days, Dates, and times are not yet available.

Is a schedule, really a schedule, without days, dates and times?

Just a philosophy question

Knowing who your opponents are, is as important as knowing who your opponents are not. Unless GB plays them in the playoffs or the SB, the Packers do not have to play the Cowboys or the Saints or the Giants or the Panthers or the Bengals. They can observe the Browns as they look to crawl out of the league basement or the Texans as their QB returns from the injury list.

Also, based upon last season, GB will be facing one of the NFL's toughest schedules in 2018. Teams like the Broncos or the Colts or the Ravens are not a part of GB's 2018 preparations. GB will be facing QBs like Brady and Stafford and Wilson.

GameTickets, Hotel Accomodations, Plane or Train tickets, and more are also important. I can't say why the league delays to announce important pieces of information like Days/Times for games.

Playing 3 teams we beat in Super Bowls in the preseason.
I wonder how many passes Jordy Nelson will catch in the Oakland game?

And 1 team we beat in a SB (NE) in the regular season. Only Denver, the team that beat the Packers is not on the 2018 Schedule.

As for Jordy Nelson, GB's CBs will have a lot to with how well he does. Should be a lot of familiar faces in that game. Smile

With the full release last night of the full NFL Schedule, it is now possible for ZERO to post the new 2018 Packers Schedule in place of the 2017 Packers Schedule. This thread stands ready to post any and all comments regarding it.

Just a few observations that popped up when I saw the schedule:
1) They must get off to a good start before the bye
2) The bye comes at a good time leading into 4 out of 5 tough road games
3) Bye #2 (ten days off before playing @ the Vikes) couldn't have come at a better time.
4) The last 5 games in December looks good playing 3 dome teams at home.

Ideally they start off hot, steal a couple of road games in November and finish strong.

The real homework needed is how does the timing for the opposing teams set up. Who do we play after they have had a bye that would be to their advantage? Who do we catch on their 2nd or third consecutive road game (statistically a hard win for the road team). I haven't gone that in depth with opposing team schedules

Pre-season wise it's a tough schedule that looks reasonably set up other than the back to back road trips to the Rams/Pats and then Seattle/Vikes. Of course once the season starts the schedule takes on a nature of its' own. What teams are hurting? What teams are hot vs. what teams are not? I remember noting one year where a team played like 8 games against teams without their starting qb. Incredibly lucky yes but goes to show it's not just who you play but when you play them.
