That's worse than Seattle. Oh my god I'm much more indifferent this year than I thought I was. I didn't even notice that. I almost had a heart attack when the NFC championship happened. I probably did have a heart attack. Wow what's going on. Fucking gooddell

It never ceases to amaze me just how selfish people can be. The post in this and other threads express their concern over how the Packers will suffer if Rodgers sits out 1 or 2 games. How without him at QB doom and disaster will befall the football team. How Green Bay would lose a few games if Kizer were allowed to substitute at QB for Rodgers.

No true Packer fan ever wants the team to lose any games, but sometimes the long term good of the team/player must override possible short term gains. I salute Rodgers grit to play against the Vikings, but it was not until after that game was over that it was revealed that his injury consisted of more than a knee sprain. He has slight muscle tearing that can only get better if he allows the area to heal without placing further stress upon the affected tissue. IMO, it is a pay me now or pay bigger later scenario with a season long impairment that would place the Packers at a disadvantage as GB either needs season ending wins to capture a playoff berth or enter the playoffs with a still injured QB.

Biting the bullet is like punting, you sacrifice ball possession to hopefully mitigate the damage that could befall you. GB needs to rest Rodgers so that he will be the player this team will need if this is to be that special SB season. Also it should not go unsaid that we are discussing Rodgers' injury like he only matters as a football player when we need to also remember that he is a person that may be suffering in pain beyond what he will admit to. Let us not toss away empathy as greed threatens to overtake more rational thinking.

And those points were scored in like 2:27 game clock time.

The thing is...would sitting him 2 weeks really make any difference? A muscle tear isn’t going to heal in 2 weeks. If that were so, the Packer brass WOULD sit him.
But reality is, unless he sits 6 weeks it’s not going to get any better. So you give up on the season if you sit him.
You might win a couple games with Kizer, but he hasn’t been here long enough to be any good in this offense.

We KNOW that the doctors wouldnt let him play, even if Rodgers wanted too unless the chance of more serious damage was small.
2 weeks wouldn’t do much to lower that possibility.

I'm quite sure Rodgers will play vs the Redskins, let's just hopt that is not a huge mistake moving forward.

That’s true Smokey. But I never was a NFL QB.
Sitting 2 weeks and then having to go out and do that kind of a job again, would that 2 weeks make that much difference?
Also, if I had light duty at any of my jobs, there was always someone qualified to do what I did and not screw up the “company” while I was resting. There wasn’t a 4 month season where if I missed a couple weeks the “company” would be screwed for the whole year.

Rodgers MUST remain injured.

After game 6 in 2015 Rodgers has been a below average QB except when he hurt his ankle for the Run in 2016; and when our OL was decimated for 1st 5 games in 2017. Both these issues forced him to play within the offense and hit those 5-7 yard 1st and 2nd reads on 1st and 2nd down instead of running around like an idiot looking for ESPN highlight plays.

Mucky Tundra (3-Apr) : Diggs, Collins, Dell and Schultz is gonna be tough to cover
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Stefon Diggs' trade will not be processed as a post-June 1 designation, so that is just over $31 million in dead cap this year.
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Bills trading WR Stefon Diggs to the Texans in exchange for a 2025 2nd-round pick. (via @rapsheet)
