True enough, but I'll never be able to fix the High School trapped members that just can't elevate their personalities above the 10th grade.

Cheers! Here's to GB's new HC, may he carry the Packers to many SB Victories.
Cheers!

Welcome Matt LeFleur... hope they name a Street after you before you're done.
If they name a street after you, I hope they spell it correctly Tongue

(PS, I don't care about spelling (within reason, everybody knows who it is and it wasn't on purpose), I just thought it was a funny joke, and the thought of it being misspelled on an official sign made me laugh)

Bear's CB Amukamara has his jersey name title misspelled muliple times over his career... I would think you might put that one on a double check list.

I hope he gets a street too but I hate it being done before the end of the coach's career is completed.
I hated when it became a policial, tying it within a larger political bill.

But your correct, maybe they should wait until their time in GB is done at least... though who knows, they might always go to a division rival and win a Superbowl... then you might not want to put it up.

It gets a little awkward when you have to fire a coach who has a street named after him

Cory Jennerjohn over at CheeseheadTV speculates that the reason Green Bay moved so fast on LeFleur is that he may have been the only candidate to agree to keep Pettine. It's an interesting theory.

According to Ian Rapoport, Pettine was on LaFleur's short list of coaches he wanted to keep in Green Bay. So this may well support Jennerjohn's theory. Murphy and Gutekunst certainly moved quickly after they brought LeFleur in.

He's not the only one to throw out that speculation. Lots of fans saying he will be a Murphy yes man.

One thing I read was that he had Pettine on his list of potential staff members (like drivel said) and I am sure that gave him bonus points. The question is if he did have Pettine on his list was it a list that he came up with on his own recognizing Pettines abilities or was he aware of Murphy's apparent desire to keep Pettine on and so he added him just to get the bonus points. I'm sure we will never know.

One thing is for certain there will be no shortage of fans who will continue to think it is really Murphy pulling all the strings and running the show.

Those who know Matt LaFleur personally have stated he's anything but a pushover.

That said, being head coach can change a guy (Mike Pettine stated this too I believe most recently) and hopefully he doesn't flip to being a push over.

Stop using factual items, with comments from people that actually know the people in play...

All these reporters (or random people) claimed they knew what was going on... and now that it's been proven wrong, they need their conspiracy theories to cover their bums and to prove they still actually know what's going on... LOL

They're going to hire McDaniels... (they hired LaFleur)... it's because of keeping Pettine!
They're going to do what I say, or there will be some conspiracy or cover up theory!

No one is mentioning, that Pettine did a hell of a job, especially considering he had so many freaking injuries! Or that they have both worked with Kyle Shanahan.

PFFFT! You have no idea what you are talking about. GB hired Matt LaFleur because Aaron Rodgers said so. Aaron wants someone he can push around as HC.

IMO, GB began last year to evolve past the Ted Thompson era, however they made one large error that is still dragging the Packers down, Ted Thompson is still on the payroll. There should have been a clean break, yet it did not happen. Cut him lose and leave that trolling anchor on the pier before The Packers"sail" again. You don't divorce wife #1 and keep her hanging around wife #2, that's a recipe for disaster(like a 6-9-1 season).

Clean out the house. Keep the best and replace what does not fit in the new "Packers". From Coaches to Scouts to Players, make it clear that only winners get GB Packer paychecks. You don't clean out your refrigerator and not throw out that moldy cheese.

Whip'em!

What do you mean can't disprove it? ... if Rodgers wanted someone to push around, couldn't he just get some old man? Not someone young and as good healthy shape as he is Flapper JK

Touché ThumpUp

Though it seems it's internet conspiracy theorist, who are trying to convince fans that they know the truth about what's going on, vs. people that actually work in the industry and actually know these people in real life.

It's Twitter, you only get so many characters so people shorten some words to save a character or two, and sometimes they make odd choices in which ones...

So "him" becomes "em" in this case...

I wonder what LaFleur demonstrated during his interview to leapfrog McDaniels -- or if, as I've found myself wondering multiple times over the past few weeks, Green Bay's rumored interest in McDaniels was always a smokescreen.

Current rumor is that ex-Buc OC was the runner up for both the Packers and Jets head coaching job. (I wonder if he'd make a good OC for the Packers, sounds like the Jags are interviewing him for their job)

https://247sports.com/nf...andidate--127537154/Amp/

I don't think the Packers rumored interested in McDaniels was a smokescreen, at least not one by the Packers.

I think it's simply the media and fans trying to connect the hottest names to the hottest QBs, and pretend like they know what's going on and talk about the possiblies.

Is it just me, or is anyone uneasy hiring a guy after one interview? Not just him, but anybody. Do we have people who know him? Just asking?

When Brian, Mark and Russ agreed that Matt was the top candidate, Brian had Aaron call Matt. Perhaps that discussion between the QB and HC was the the second interview?

Zero2Cool (14h) : Again, Pro Bowl. Wasted talk.

gbguy20 (17h) : poo
Zero2Cool (21h) : I don't know what you're talking about. It says 2019!!! ;-)
beast (21h) : It's in the Packers Coach Tracker thread (though it says 2018 instead of 2019)

Smokey (22-Jan) : Who is the home team for the 2019 SB game ?

beast (21-Jan) : Is that 2 minutes in real time or slomo time? :P JK
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : If you need to look at it via SLOMO for more than 2 minutes, your rules are too difficult.
beast (21-Jan) : I sometimes think they should eliminate slow mo for fans for that reason... then deside, it's not hurting enough, keep it.
TheKanataThrilla (21-Jan) : They review PI calls in the CFL. In slow motion many calls look like PI. The fact is there were at least 3 refs looking at the play and they all botched it.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Only LaFleur knows how many coaches are left. He might decide no QB coach
beast (21-Jan) : Making PI calls reviewable might just lead to more PI calls... also I wonder what Sean Peyton (maybe on that committee thinks about noncalls being reviewable
beast (21-Jan) : It all depends on how they set it up... at bare minimum ST coordinator and all the assistants. Rest might be optional/base on setup
gbguy20 (21-Jan) : hi how many damn coaches do we have left to replace? qb, ST and ST asst, ILB? what else?

yooperfan (21-Jan) : How many deep passes did he complete?
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Aaron Rodgers was the only qualified NFL QB to not throw an INT on deep passes this season – despite throwing the second-most deep pass attempts this year (91).
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Dolphins plan to hire Packers run game coordinator/inside linebackers coach Patrick Graham as their defensive coordinator.
Smokey (21-Jan) : true
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : No. The guy lined up too close and then they got an interception. 😜
rabidgopher04 (21-Jan) : Andy Reid loses another conference championship game.
gbguy20 (21-Jan) : dyspeptic
Nonstopdrivel (21-Jan) : So aggravating and unsatisfying.
Nonstopdrivel (21-Jan) : I have the same sort of dyspeptic feeling after this game that I often had after big games coached by Mike McCarthy.
beast (21-Jan) : Also Chiefs got an INT, then the guy lined up too close...
gbguy20 (21-Jan) : you're right about the chiefs Defense. get stops on first and second then fail on 3rd and long time and time again
gbguy20 (21-Jan) : the guy is incredible
gbguy20 (21-Jan) : it's been a long time since we have seen rodgers play as well as brady did these last few weeks
rabidgopher04 (21-Jan) : They are good, but I just don’t like them.
rabidgopher04 (21-Jan) : Chiefs looked a lot like the McCarthy Packers of old. Amazing offense and a defense that can’t get a 3rd down stop. Probably not watching the Super Bowl this year. So tired of the Patriots. They are g
gbguy20 (21-Jan) : do we get brady too?
