Buckeye, don’t let it get to you. It’s not worth getting upset over. I have learned that myself the hard way.
You have legitimate opinions. Some will agree with you, some will not.

Just let it roll off your back, and don’t sweat it!

You all want to keep attacking my 1 negative opinion, go right ahead.

So, you admit being negative, thus, it's not really a true concern, just an unfounded gripe. Glad we agreed :D

You think it should be an individual's own responsibly to forfeit power and millions of dollars salary to stop being competitive and might love to do? That system is gonna fail almost all the time... that's not Thompson fault for being human.

And it takes about 3 to 5 years to fairly grade a draft and Thompson was switched out of the GM spot from when his drafts started turning really bad.

Thompson seemed to be trying to develop young guys and we selected one of them so a succession plan might be working and do we know if he had any control or say I wrote who his replacement was? If no then why are we blaming him for succession plan?

How is it his responsibility for managing all the relationships that went sour, when they went sour because they didn't get promotions when he was forced out?

Everybody knew Ted was nearing the end of his tenure, the team had been fielding questions about it for at least 2 off-seasons prior to this one.

Maybe he did have a plan and everyone pretty much just thought it sucked and blew it up, either way he is at least partly responsible for an ugly transition. I certainly don't believe he ever had any ill intent but I do fully believe the reports of him being a terrible communicator even within his own staff and I think that played the most part in what went wrong.

I don't think Murphy would have stepped in like he did if everything planning and communication wise was all good. He would have been buried trying to make a move like this if he didn't have the support of everyone else high up in the organization.

Is an opinion legitimate when it is based on something that a person made up in their own head while ignoring the facts presented before them that dispute the bullshit they made up? I like opinions about facts, not opinions about lies.

What is the world

Sorry, buck. I wasn't trying to upset ya. But you are mistaken. I did not bring the subject up for haters, I brought it up because this is a Packers discussion board. I think we should capture articles and that's what happened here.

An opinion is just that, an opinion.
Whatever it is based on.
Some have an opinion that we came from aliens. Is that based on “fact”, or is it B.S.?
It’s an OPINION.
Doesn’t mean they are right, or wrong for that matter.
Does it really tick people off if someone has a differing opinion of what they have?

Ever heard of war? I'd say yes it does tick some people off.BigGrin

Seriously though some people get offended by the least little thing so getting ticked off over a difference of opinion isn't surprising.

Of course that is just my opinion.

Opinions are all well and good but at some point it turns from a humble opinion to blind rhetoric. There are a number of examples on this forum where people deploy their talking points any chance they get, often ignoring the context or topic of the thread. Any regular member has read this stuff 100 times. At a certain point it's worth questioning what value raising the same point for the 101st time has?

Again, opinions and different perspectives are great, they tend to form the basis of any production discussion, especially when discussed with respect, but the petty bickering and relentless repetition of the same talking points add nothing of value.

But that's like, just my opinion, man.

And everyone knew Murphy was in charge and Murphy said he had the plan for post Thompson... so why we put the transitional blame on Thompson, when it seems fairly clear Murphy (the boss) was taking charge on that responsibility?

I believe the Ravens switched from Ozzie Newsome to Eric DeCosta, but I think the owner seemed to make that final decision, just like the Packers. I just don't understand why this blame is on Thompson when the decision seems like it'd be above his role and Murphy claimed he was the one with the plan.

gbguy20 (1h) : Still no bye week listed Kevin. Don't you know what you are doing? young idiot
Zero2Cool (5h) : Only thing I can guess is how Falcons used Taylor Gabriel.
Zero2Cool (5h) : if anything, they like his open field ability and figure if they can get the ball to him in the flat from backfield = win
Zero2Cool (5h) : More so thinking it is just not leaving any stone unturned.
Cheesey (5h) : I’m not questioning you Zero, just trying to figure it out. Is Davis that good that they are trying so hard to find a spot where he can play?
Cheesey (5h) : Why would they try a last ditch effort? I mean, if they have to try THAT hard, is he really worth it?
Zero2Cool (10h) : Keep in mind the quick little fast guys that the Rams, Falcons used. They might see Trevor in that role.
Zero2Cool (10h) : More than likely, this is a last ditch effort to find a spot for Trevor.
Cheesey (19h) : I agree gbguy. He must have a relative in a high position on the Packers!
gbguy20 (22-May) : except ty was actually good (at both positions) where Trevor has never shown a reason to be on the 53. how he has been here for so long escapes me
wpr (22-May) : It's the Montgomery experiment all over again.
gbguy20 (22-May) : Trevor Davis practicing as a RB during OTAs. what the hell
Zero2Cool (22-May) : Folks usually say the series don't start until road team wins
TheKanataThrilla (22-May) : There was a stat that indicated that home crowd was most important in basketball of the big 4 sports. Not sure why.
Zero2Cool (22-May) : Raptors are simply better team top/down, and two of their main guys are hobbled.
Zero2Cool (22-May) : And didn't learn from past mistakes and lost Game 4.
Zero2Cool (22-May) : Bucks should have lost Game 1, got lucky. Dominated Game 2. Screwed up in Game 3.
Zero2Cool (22-May) : I don't think they are gonna make it to the Finals. No effort, no heart last night.
buckeyepackfan (22-May) : Don't panic Cheesey, series will go 7 games. NBA needs that to happen.
Cheesey (22-May) : Bucks stunk it up tonight. If they keep this up, they will be WATCHING the championship on TV.
TheKanataThrilla (22-May) : Congrats Blues. Stanley Cup bound.
gbguy20 (22-May) : i c u cheesey
Cheesey (21-May) : Yeah....would have been good “JU JU”! LOL!
Zero2Cool (21-May) : Should have taken JuJu Smith-Schuster instead of Josh Jones
Zero2Cool (21-May) : " So I think it's a good opportunity for those guys to get the bulk of the reps. I think everyone in here is comfortable what Davante is about."

Nonstopdrivel (21-May) : They won another Eastern Conference Championship in '74.
Nonstopdrivel (21-May) : They won it all in 1971.
gbguy20 (21-May) : im assuming not
gbguy20 (21-May) : have the bucks ever won it all?
Cheesey (21-May) : Yup.hes best taking it to the hoop.
gbguy20 (20-May) : the nba 10 years ago vs now
Zero2Cool (20-May) : and I do NOT want Giannis taking 3's unless we are up by double digits. Period.
Zero2Cool (20-May) : and it was bumbled up and a turnover. TAKE THE DAMN SHOT
Zero2Cool (20-May) : So many times it looked like clear lane to the hoop and instead of the layup, they did an awkward pass
Zero2Cool (20-May) : That was another thing that boggled my mind.
Cheesey (20-May) : True. So many missed shots. These guys are pros, yet can’t seem to make a free throw???
Zero2Cool (20-May) : 12 points wasn't the issue, it was his 8 turnovers. And the stupid ass passing in the paint. Just take the damn lay up.
Cheesey (20-May) : Held the Greek freak to 12 points. That sure didn’t help us.
Zero2Cool (20-May) : Always feel home team gonna win game three. But once OT hit, I felt it was ours.
Cheesey (20-May) : They had plenty of chances. They just plain blew it.
Zero2Cool (20-May) : Bucks didn't win, crap!
Zero2Cool (19-May) : It'll be canceled before the month is up 😜
gbguy20 (19-May) : dangit
Zero2Cool (19-May) : You have to pick a package. I think they have an NBA package. I just bought the $25 that gave me ESPN TNT and TBS to ensure NBA games.
gbguy20 (18-May) : from*
gbguy20 (18-May) : do you have to pick ftom "packages" with sling or can you legit individually pick the channels you want?
Zero2Cool (18-May) : and ya can cancel anytime ...
Zero2Cool (18-May) : Sling TV is $25 a month.
