How much cap space do we save for 2020 when we cut that overpaid TE of ours next year?

I think his cap number is around 8-10million, so it'd probably be somewhere around that much pending on how the contract was structured. If he doesn't light it up this year (and if he does most likely) I foresee a paycut if not an outright cut... especially if we bring in Fant, Irvin, and/or Hockenson.

It looks like a pre June 1st cut of Jimmy Graham would have saved all of $333k ($12.6m in dead cap!). A post June 1st cut would save 4 million (8.3m dead cap).

It's doubtful that they could have signed a free agent TE for $4m/yr that would have the same performance that Graham will likely have in 2019, so there is very little point to cutting him this year, unless you just want to save money and don't care about the cap.

Next year he can be cut for an $8m cap savings with $3.6m dead cap. That seems like a certainty at this point unless he puts up a 1000/y 10TD season or something like that.
