Well almost every naysayer wanted Mike McCarthy and Ted Thompson to answer those questions at some point, Wilde may have gotten a "your not coming back" pass for these questions, but I agree they handled them pretty well.

I found the Ryan comment from Ted semi funny.. "Not knocking Ryan, but Frost is better" type response.. yep not knocking him.

I hear you. This guy is no Greta.

The first question was kind of dumb, but after that I thought all the questions were fair. Excellent interview with both guys.

If Greta would have done THIS interview, she would have asked Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy "Boxers, or briefs?" :compress:

WSJ: Do you guys know what you're doing?

MIKE McCARTHY: What kind of question is that?

Sometimes these people just make me sick. I can't wait for Mike McCarthy to snap one day and choke a bitch. [\quote]

Maybe he can start with you.

Or maybe himself....

Can anyone photoshop McCarthy as the "prettiest girl".

That would be funny. Or maybe just find a current picture of his daughter!

Jason Wilde is a madman. Great interview.

I love the fact that he's asking questions like the average fan would. He's obviously not afraid of making enemies.

I thought it was significant that McCarthy finally backed off from saying that he's going to emphasize the run. It's about time. These days, the NFL is mostly a passing league. Check out this article by Michael Lombardi. Scan down to his second point:

The thing is, they should have figured this out in the 80s. The Niners won 5 SBs, 4 in the 80s and 1 in the 90s, by passing. The lone exception for a dominant team that mostly ran were the Cows, but their passing game was pretty dang good too when it needed to be.

You need a QB that completes passes and doesn't turn the ball over.

Mucky Tundra (3-Apr) : Diggs, Collins, Dell and Schultz is gonna be tough to cover
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Stefon Diggs' trade will not be processed as a post-June 1 designation, so that is just over $31 million in dead cap this year.
