Being that the coaches salary doesn't fall under the cap and the Packers, from all reports have plenty of money in the general fund, I find what they DIDN'T do mind boggling.

I can't speak to hiring Mennega but I have always felt they hired Drayton as a quota thing. Right now GB has 9 coaches of color out of 27. That's 1/3. While I have not seen any memo it would not surprise me if the NFL informed teams this is the minimum percent.

Drayton is 1 of the lead coaches along with HC, OC and DC. I'm sure the NFL tracks that too. Other organizations watch this kind of thing. They even have Ruvall Martin as a Coaching Assistant (Minority Fellowship).
