The Romeo Doubs TD drop vs Patriots. Matt LaFleur said his replay guy said it's a drop, don't challenge. LaFleur went and challenged anyway and after the game said it was "emotional" challenge. He also said he'll learn from it. Bullsnot!! He's said this same damn thing multiple times every season now. He doesn't learn!! It could have cost us the game.

And someone needs to slap Aaron Rodgers. Look, I don't care about first half time outs that much and I think we fans go off the rails way too easily about it. And about the play being snapped under five seconds. We're not the only team that does it. That being said, second half, we can't be dumbasses with them timeouts. If you don't like a look, SO WHAT, make it work! You only get three per half!!

I agree. Aaron Rodgers has been in the league long enough to make a call and get the play off. Wasting timeouts has become too often for him.
It shouldn't take the entire play clock to get the ball snapped.

I honestly don't understand why 2nd half timeouts are being deemed more valuable than 1st half timeouts...

They're equal value, and the half's are equal value, you can score late right before the half, just like you can at the end of the game... protect those timeouts

Based on my logic, it's quite simple. You can't lose/win the game in the first half. You can in the second half. Therefore, they are not equal value. Second half has the edge in value for the mere fact that you can win/lose the game in the second half.

I would say teams have equal chances to score points in the first half as they do in the second half ...

Even though both half's are the same, the second half SEEMS to be more important as it's the last chance to win the game.
At the end of the first half, even if you are way behind, you still have the hope of a second half comeback.
Thus, second half timeouts might be your last shot at winning, where timeouts might be the difference between a win and a loss.

I agree - but also hate seeing wasted opportunities. If you have your timeouts and the ball before the half - it gives a chance to gain points. Sometimes even a 3 before half time can be a huge difference maker in close games.

That is pretty much where my logic falls as I can't recall a team winning or losing in the first half. Typically (unless a shortened game) you have that final two quarters to overcome a point deficiency created in the first half. That's just my logic, ain't saying it's the only one. It's just why I value the final three timeouts more than the first three.

This is also very true. I've heard coaches and players talking about momentum going into half time. When Giants got that hail mary TD against us, Packers said it was demoralizing. And same thing when Packers got their TD at halftime, Giants said it deflated them. So, that going into half time momentum thing can be huge. If a team marches down the field and can't stop the clock. That's a huge lift for the defense.

You don't remember the Time Brady halftime dager over Kevin King?

Well then you are lying to yourself, suggesting the second half ones are more important, if it's actually equal, which as you said, no shit sherlock...

I've blocked that one out. Maybe trauma blockage?

I'm lying to myself? Excuse me? Who the fuck do you think you are? Listen, you disagree with my logic, that is fine, but don't be a mother fucking asshole about it.

dfosterf (8h) : There are standards, after all. Tennis shoes and white socks
dfosterf (8h) : Wife went to her zumba class this evening. Middle aged fellow rolled in wearing his baby dress, diaper and bonnet. He didn't have the pink plastic slippers or anything
dfosterf (10h) : Your answer made me laugh, though
dfosterf (10h) : You're right. Can't have a day of infamy speech and get the year wrong. Sept 27 2022. I was only off by 20 years. History would forgive me
Zero2Cool (11h) : Will.
dfosterf (12h) : You may. You really might. But this is my week, and I play Jersey Cheese this week, and he is a coward that doesn't have the courage to post here, so I rag you instead
Zero2Cool (12h) : Gutekunst says he's seen enough to know his decision on Jordan Love option. Says he's a starter in this league. Whew. Glad to hear that. Our run of dominance won't end!!
Zero2Cool (12h) : Zero2Cool rag tag team destroyed dfosterf team!!!!!
Zero2Cool (12h) : And yes, I probably will lose. Most likely. But if I win?? If?? OMG! I'm gonna put a banner up on the site for a year!
Zero2Cool (12h) : What the hell did I do when I was 22??
dfosterf (12h) : I looked on fleaflicker. I might be the only Mgr. that has Justin Jefferson and Davante Adams on the same fantasy football team on this planet.
dfosterf (12h) : Oh, and you are going down, young Kev, because on September 27, 2002, you fu^ked up.
dfosterf (13h) : Semi weekly rant done. Lol
dfosterf (13h) : Murphy has done wonders over his tenure as regards the Packers as a corporate entity. Anyone give much of a crap about that? I don't.
dfosterf (13h) : I would ask the coaches of the Packers who should run the show, and the vets, including yes, Aaron Rodgers
dfosterf (13h) : We need a true football guy to run this organization.
dfosterf (13h) : Mark Murphy sucks up to my examples. He is a corporate suck up. Impossible for the corporate bosses he sucks up to...to fire him.
dfosterf (13h) : Sargento has decent cheese. Get the hell out of decision making as regards the Green Bay Packers
dfosterf (13h) : Kohler family
dfosterf (13h) : It's worse than machine politics. Kohls builds crappers, not NFL football teams, as an example
dfosterf (13h) : They can start by getting rid of the whole Wisconsin booster club that encompasses our ownership representation
Zero2Cool (13h) : Fans whine they don't go all in. They go all in and fans whine about salary cap. See a trend? Fans whining. Packers win, ya all still whining. Spoiled asses.
dfosterf (13h) : Any idiot can make this non-profit team financially secure for any foreseeable future. We need brains to work with the cap. I don't see that
Zero2Cool (13h) : I don't think young HC is handling the massive personality at QB. Pretty positive the organization believed Rodgers would be out by now.
dfosterf (14h) : This organization must be all about winning. It is their job. Not tv's in the nosebleed sections. Not sledding hills outside the stadium. Not great experiences in Green Bay. Winning.
dfosterf (14h) : Unprecedented based on his first three years as a hc, but I have no problem firing MLF for this year.
Zero2Cool (14h) : Matt Lafleur on Romeo Doubs chances of returning after the bye week. "Ya I would think we'd get Rome back."
Zero2Cool (14h) : LaFleur says he’d like to get the ball to Christian Watson more but joked then he’d get criticized for not getting Aaron Jones more touches.
Zero2Cool (14h) : Matt LaFleur doesn't know a timetable for David Bakhtiari and his return. He was told that it could be awhile.
Zero2Cool (15h) : I think it'll be you vs me Week 15 to open playoffs.
dfosterf (16h) : Said so at the time, stickin to my story
dfosterf (16h) : All I know is that Joe Barry ain't it
Zero2Cool (16h) : I think trade deadline is over, so 49ers probably cannot get Brissett in 2022
Zero2Cool (16h) : Chargers miss playoffs, does Brandon Staley get fired? Come to GB as DC?
buckeyepackfan (16h) : 49rs should inquire about Jacoby Brissett.
buckeyepackfan (16h) : Browns signed the abuser to 5 year, 230mil Fully Guaranteed contract.
Zero2Cool (16h) : Ian Rapoport even mentions Baker to 49ers as backup. NFL has no memory whatsoever of crappy QB play. I blame Geno Smith
Zero2Cool (17h) : Baker wants to be released because he doesn't want to backup. So I mean. I dunno
yooperfan (17h) : A shout out to wayoutwest for his pick the winner prowess!
dfosterf (17h) : Apropos
yooperfan (17h) : It would be great all around if the Niners traded for Rodgers.
dfosterf (17h) : Zero logic? (Something apprapo in there somewhere) Josh Johnson or Baker Mayfield? That's what the 49ers are looking at with regards to a backup qb
TheKanataThrilla (18h) : Could Baker end up with the Ravens...at least for a few weeks?
Zero2Cool (18h) : I'm gonna lose my shit. Wait, nope, it's lost.
Zero2Cool (18h) : Browns took a guy who sexually assaults women over him!!!
Zero2Cool (18h) : The guy is terrible. Browns didn't want hkm
Zero2Cool (18h) : I must be the dumbest guy around. So many towing the Baker to 49ers line. The guy sucks! Why would 49ers want him? Zero logic.
Zero2Cool (18h) : Omg. Another dolt saying 49ers
dfosterf (18h) : 49ers almost have to pick him up
Zero2Cool (19h) : Panthers are expected to release Baker Mayfield
