Favre and the Vikes advance to the playoffs, looking primed to go to the Superbowl.

They win homefield throughout, and their defense is rated in the top five in the NFL. Favre and Co are prolific on offense, with Favre having over 4,000 yards passing and AP having over 1500 yards rushing.

The Vikes have record attendance and the entire state of Minnesota is enraptured with Vikings. Every fan in Minnesota believes in his or her heart that this is the year that it all comes together for their Purple warriors.

The Vikes get a measure of revenge by drawing the Eagles again in Divisonal round of the playoffs. As the game begins, there is no doubt in anyone's mind that the Vikings are going to roll right through Philly and teach them a lesson from last year.

The Vikes receive the kick, Favre takes the field to thunderous cheers and the offense huddles up. To start things off, Childress calls for a quick pass to AP.

The ball is snapped, Favre gets excellent protection and he quickly passes to AP, who catches and rather innocently spins around the first defender. The second misses and he's rumbling towards the safety. But just then, it happens. His foot catches on a rough patch of Metrodome turf and just at that moment, a safety collides with him, instantly breaking his leg in two places and tearing apart his knee. It's the type of injury that they refuse to show on replay.

AP is carted off the field and the Vikes go on to lose. Favre retires again, having failed in his quest for another championship. AP, after several surgeries, is never able to take the field again, and is forced to retire a year later.

Because of the playoff loss, Childress and his entire staff are fired. With their marquee player(s) gone, Minnesotans quickly lose interest and turn their backs on the Vikings. Several years later, after failing again to get the funds for a new stadium, the team moves to Los Angeles.

How's that for a dream scenario?

And I'm with others in this thread that my "dream scenario" has not changed at all just because Brett Favre is a Viking and won't change due to any player on any team. My dream scenario is the Packers winning the Super Bowl. Other then that, the rest is just the stuff to talk about on "Americas Game."

GO PACKERS!!

I aimed to amaze, and I'm glad to see that I didn't disappoint.

In hindsight, probably an extreme dream scenario, but I stand by it. Everyone else can play nice and go with the standard, "Pack to the Superbowl", but I'm going to go the nuclear route and pick this as my dream scenario.

If you're gonna dream...dream B-I-G!

I'm not "playing nice." That's truly my dream scenario is to see the Packers win the Super Bowl. I mean, isn't that the whole point of the game anyway? I want to see another trophy sitting in the Packers Hall of Fame!

I wouldn't care if we lost to them twice...........as long as WE win the Super Bowl.

I've always said the opposite.

The Vikings could go 2-14 every year and I'll be happy, as long as those 2 wins were against the 'historic' Pack.

That's 'Super Bowl' enough for me.

And that sir is why your team and all of it's followers will always be laughed at by Packer fans. Your goal is to beat the team you have always envied. I'm sure Cleveland and Cincinati fans feel the same way about Pittsburgh. Thanks for making me feal better Formo. I really needed that today.

I've described my dream scenario in other threads. I would like to see all four teams in the division with winning records, three of whom make the playoffs, with the Packers and Vikings meeting in the NFC Championship Game, and Favre throwing an untimely overtime interception to send the Packers to the Super Bowl.

I don't like how you dream, too much stress for me. I prefer Favre throw his shoulder out on his own on a pass in which Woodson has a pick six to ice the game. Favre walks off the field in tears and goes and finally retires for good. Green Bay waits 5 years to give him his jersey retirement and induction to our hall of fame. Bus Cook does not receive an invitation. By then I will have forgiven him for his atrocities against my football team, and be able to watch the ceremony and be able to tell my daughters that he use to entertain me good or bad on Sundays.

Wow, Packer fans wanting to see a viqueens player do well. I'm gonna have to drop that guy like I dropped Longwell, Sharper, and Ferguson. You go to the enemy, you ARE the enemy.

You want to finish your career here?
Favre: "Definitely. If in two years, say, they want to trade me, I'd probably walk away. Retire."

I am just tired of feeling like our division victories are cheap, as I did throughout most of the '90s and early 2000s. I'm tired of hearing that the NFCN is a weak division. I want it to be a kick-ass division like the NFCE and cheer for the Packers as they emerge victorious anyway. If that means a little more stress, so be it. Adrenaline is good for the body.

    Zero2Cool (27-Mar) : It's like listen, you made 4,201 mocks, no shit.
Zero2Cool (27-Mar) : Cuz during the draft "I had them mocked there!" as if it's amazing.

Zero2Cool (25-Mar) : Yeah, challenge until you are incorrect twice.
Zero2Cool (25-Mar) : Fining them is the goal, per the people who made the rule anyway.
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Still waiting on the kickoff rule changes. Did hear yesterday that the touchback proposal will now be the 30 yard line, not the 35
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Probably speed of game issues with your proposal
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Hopefully the refs don't get in the habit of throwing flags on this
beast (25-Mar) : I think when it comes to Challenges should get two strikes, so unlimited challenges as long as they keep winning them, but 2 wrong then done
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Still subject to the fines etc
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Yes, I should have been more specific. Also, they are now saying it would be a 15 yard penalty. That makes more sense .
