That trade with the incentives for a higher pick the better the Jets do with Brett.

Pure genius.

As a Packer fan, you have to be rooting for the Jets and Brett because it gives the Packers a better pick.

Not to mention... its Brett freaking Favre!

Genius ... pure genius!

'Tis.

Any Packer fan who roots against the Jets (except when they're playing us, of course) is either ignorant of this trade situation or an ignoramus. Best thing that can happen is the Jets reach the SB (and lose to us).

Then we get the #31 and #32 pick.

Interesting. Favre has been pulled for the final 2 minutes in favor of Kellen Clemens. Is this just so he doesn't risk injury, or are the Jets taking an opportunity to reduce his number of plays hoping to reduce the pick? I'm guessing it's a little of both, but if Favre went down in week 9, Clemens grabbing enough garbage time plays might put Favre below the 50% mark.

I also just saw him limping a bit, so maybe its just avoiding injury.

Also, the poll is missing an option:

If Favre plays more than 50% of the snaps, it's a third rounder regardless of the Jets record. I think that's the most likely.

The Jets pulled Favre because they were down 3 TDs with a few minutes left and decided to give Clemens some reps.

Well.....it's not looking like we will get a high draft pick. The Jets arn't doing very well.

He was limping before the last TD he threw too. I don't think its anything major.

If this is true, which I believe it is, as Packer fans, should we root for the Jets to lose in order to get a higher third round pick? Or is the difference between pick 100 and 110 so insignificant that we shouldn't waste out time worrying about it? I'd probably go with the latter and continue to root for Brett.

Mucky Tundra (3-Apr) : Diggs, Collins, Dell and Schultz is gonna be tough to cover
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Stefon Diggs' trade will not be processed as a post-June 1 designation, so that is just over $31 million in dead cap this year.
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Bills trading WR Stefon Diggs to the Texans in exchange for a 2025 2nd-round pick. (via @rapsheet)
