This here is the answer to the whole legal gamut the NFL and football in general finds itself in... if you want to play and aspire to work your way up through the game from pee wee on.. you do so at your own risk freeing the teams and leagues from repercussions if you get hurt.

Now the leagues/teams would have to uphold a certain level of action to protect a injured player from further injuring himself, but the simple act of getting hurt in the field of play or preparation of play is a risk assumed.

It is a sport of heavy contact and risk.. it always has been, the players themselves had to know and feel the toll it was taking. To claim some unknown to their own personal bodies seems like a cop out and an excuse now to seek a dollar amount in return.

“Personally, absolutely, because I knew what I was getting into when I first had the dream of playing in the NFL,” Foster told Stephen A. Smith and Ryan Ruocco of ESPN Radio New York, via SportsRadioInterviews.com. “I knew what I was getting into. The game’s a violent sport. Anything can happen. People get paralyzed; people get hurt — broken legs, broken everything. It’s just part of the game, and I knew what I was getting into. So to me, it’s kind of like blaming the NFL for your injuries, and I don’t blame the NFL because it was my decision to partake in this game. . . . So I would never sue. I don’t have ill feelings toward those that have sued or whatever. That’s their business. It’s just the way I see it. I just wouldn’t.”
