Remember when Barclay first started last year? We all thought the season was over.

That's why they play the games.

I can't really say that I have confidence in our rookie linebackers to create a consistent pass rush. Mike Neal is new to the position and he looks good, but now they can focus their attention to him. We need some push up the middle now. I really like what I've seen out of Mike Daniels rushing the QB and also Datone Jones hasn't looked bad.

Add to that ILBs - mainly Hawk - attacking in the QBs face.

BTW, I never did hear and answer: Is Perry out fairly long term with a broken foot, or not?

Nick Perry must live under a similar black that I do!

Now quit being a bunch of women and suck it up. What does not kill us makes us stronger. Remember 2010.

Yeah we definitely will be needing to blitz some more. However, against a good QB that can/will be dangerous. I was very impressed with Hawk's overall play on Sunday though.

I'm with you Dakota. It will be good to see what Nate Palmer can bring in a live game setting. They were very, very high on him, and who knows, maybe he makes his presence felt with some solid play against CLE. Could be the perfect stepping stone for him to gain some confidence.

I don't think Palmer is physical ready for the NFL (a lot of rookies from small school aren't, heck a lot of rookie period aren't... so it's not a knock for Palmer long term, just think he really needs an NFL offseason to get physically/mentally better prepared). Later in training camp Palmer did show some nice pass rush potential, but potential and game ready against starters are very different things.

Then again, if they have him on RT Mitchell Schwartz (who I don't know much about) maybe his pass rush could beat him depending on how good his pass rush is or isn't.
