MINNEAPOLIS -- When it was over Sunday night, Greg Jennings waited for his former quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, to finish shaking hands with a few of the Minnesota Vikings.

Then, near the middle of Mall of America Field, Jennings pulled aside the Green Bay Packers quarterback. We may never know what Jennings told Rodgers, his teammate for seven years. Rodgers would not say, and Jennings bolted from the locker room before anyone got the chance to ask.

Greg is learning you have to have someone who can feed you the rock. That and there has to be someone else on the team who is considered a threat to catch it.

Exactly. It was all about the QB not following his progressions. He made us pay in the end with those runs down the middle. Pickett was still in and looked gassed. In any case, their guy Patterson is the real deal. When the Vikings find a real QB, look out.

Boykin's 8 for 103 and 5 for 89 don't qualify? What does he have to do to earn your respect have Megatron like numbers every week?

400 yards minimum.

It was a joke, mate. Collinsworth wouldn't shut up about Nelson being the only target Rodgers had. FWIW, I really like what Boykins has done the last two weeks.

Yeah he has had good start but only two games. I think mi_keys point was, and correct me if I am wrong, that the vikings didn't worry about him as they would have Jones or Cobb. Defenses can still put the vast majority of their focus on stopping Nelson because Boykin is not the treat that James Jones or Randall Cobb are. At least not in their eyes and not yet.

I respect your right to have your opinion but that doesn't mean I agree with it or respect you for having it.

No worries. I think we're all struggling to find things to bitch about, what with the Packers utterly dismantling that sorry excuse for a football team.

Can anyone provide me with those stats of Rodgers to Jordy that they showed during the game?

you would think that by this time of the year they would have it down pat. I think Coach Mike should devote an entire practice to getting it down right.

maybe break the huddle doing their impression of "Remember the Titans" as they entered the stadium.

I don't know what stats they showed during the game but Rodgers/Nelson this year is:

39/52 649 yards 7TD 1INT 148.2 passer rating

Jordy's having a great year, but he's also getting paid a lot less than Greg Jennings. If his career were to be cut short right now, he would have many millions less than Jennings at this point.

They gave some career together.

I believe part of it was 11.8yrd per attempt along with an unbelievable passer rating.

I could get it later when I have access to the replay of the game.

Jay "Cookie" Cutler will be a free agent after this year. If the Bears don't sign him, maybe the Vikings will.Laughing

My biggest gripe is those last two Vikings TDs. They shouldn't have happened.

Agreed. I was annoyed with the amount of points that showed up for them on the scoreline. Bad kickoff coverage and taking our foot off the gas when the game was over inflated their numbers. I feel like half the points given up by our defense this year have been garbage time scores. I'd like us to cut that out.

I would like to see them play a full 60 even when the game is well in hand. Come playoff time, even this team can't afford to be caught sleeping - look what happenned to Washington in Denver. Skins had a nice lead and pissed it away - it worries me that the same could happen to us against good teams.

Not saying we are anything like Washington, the point is that a series of mishaps can cost games that should otherwise be won.

As for Jordy - I can only imagine Greg being green with envy and wishing he had done things differently. Oh well, serves him right for being selfish. I don't feel bad for him in the slightest. Way to make him look like a chump Nelson!

They wouldn't take their foot off the gas in the same way in the playoffs. It's different then. There was basically no way the Vikings were winning that game, so at that point, it just becomes about running the clock as much as possible and getting out healthy. I'd prefer if the Vikings didn't score at all, but it's generally easy to score when teams go into a predictable and conservative defense. It doesn't worry me that much.
