Spot #5 - Wildcard
Win by either 49ers or Panthers and the Packers would lose a chance for the 5th seed.
Spot #6 - Wildcard
Win by Both 49ers and Panthers and Packers would lose a chance for the 6th seed.
The Pack must win the division to get into the playoffs. I find it highly unlikely that SF and CAR don't each manage to win one of their 3 remaining games eliminating the wildcard spots for the pack. They will both probably do that this weekend with Car playing the Jets and SF against the Bucs.

I just posted this in "confidence thread", seems it applies here more.
The Packers win out, not only will there be a good chance they will win their division, but there is a pretty good chance they will be the #3 seed.
All depends on what Philly does it's last 3 games, Packers beat The Boys Sunday, that will all but eliminate them from the playoff race.
All speculation, but if you run the numbers, the odds are getting better for The Packers every time they win a game.
http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machineEdit: I'll post this again, The Packers can finish 8-7-1 and win The Division, but would like to see them going into The playoffs with a 4 game winning streak.
The real shocker is if The Lions lose to The Ravens and Giants and The Bears lose to The Browns and Philly, The Packers would have the division locked up after week 16 with wins over Dallas and Pittsburgh.
The could actually rest guys week 17 against The Bears.

It all hinges on the defense. Mainly the Dline. Can we stop the run?

No it all hinges on THE TEAM getting a little healthier everyday and THE TEAM putting together a solid performance.

IF WE WIN OUR LAST 2
AND THE LIONS LOSE JUST ONE GAME OF THEIR LAST 3
WE WIN THE DIVISION...NO MATTER WHAT THE BEARS DO!
just read a comment on PFT, it said, "this is perfectly scripted for a packers division win and superbowl win. gross."

So now that Detroit has lost, GB wins the division if they win the next two games, correct?

With the way things have been going .. it wouldn't surprise me if the pack win next week along with a lions and bears loss.

If the Packers win next week it doesn't matter what the Lions and Bears do. If they lose a Bears AND Lions loss would be sweet though ;)

Wow just watched the packers/cowgirls game last nite ... and now the ravens/lions game
2 both really good games ... was rooting hard for those ravens - and they pulled it off.
steelers at home and the bears in their house ... anyone remember our SB run? ... the bears stood in our way and went down ... thats what christmas memories are for ... me going home and the bears losing to the pack.
