Holding Rodgers out for another week is just plain FUCKED UP!

It seems like there is an element in the "organization" that just doesn't want to win. If we manage to beat the Steelers with Flynn, are those assholes gonna try to sabotage the Bears game too?

Yeah because this season is way more important than the next 6-8 years we will have Rodgers.

Woah woah... this is a rumor but...

SUPPOSEDLY Ted Thompson thinks he has a way to get Aaron Rodgers starting tomorrow. I can't believe it. Link here for video explaining.

Awfully big talk when it's not your collarbone, or you potentially being sued, or your reputation at stake, especially considering your ignorant to the facts, as we all are.

However, I say CHEER UP, I made a big break through in code today AND you can always play using Aaron Rodgers in Madden. Just turn injuries OFF. :)

I don't play Madden; I play tennis. I played a year and a half with a torn rotator cuff - I got it throwing a bowling ball most of the way down the alley when I got mad at my bad bowling. I played four months (and counting) with a slight achilles tendon tear that is just now getting healed up, but still hurts like hell for several hours after I finish, so hell yeah, if it was MY collarbone, I'd say the same.

Aaron Rodgers WANTS to play - apparently; Aaron Rodgers CAN play - based on practice and what McCarthy is saying. It's just these hyper-cautious assholes preventing it - and I really wouldn't rule out some more sinister motive - somehow WANTING the team to lose.

And for the FOOL who brought up the "6-8 years" thing, Rodgers could get sacked and break the thing in half - HIGHLY UNLIKELY - and it wouldn't jeopardize next season and beyond one iota.

Whatever happened to the good old days of football? Everyone's getting soft.

The rich NFL owners are afraid of future law suits by crippled players. They should be ashamed of how little they do for the older players. Kind of like our government and messed up soldiers that come home from war.

Redskins brought RG3 back too soon... and reinjured himself, he healed in the offseason... and still doesn't look the same, and no one knows if he'll ever be the same again.

If Rodgers isn't 100% then he's not 100%.

Also this could lock up the rookie of the year for Lacy. Getting his team into the playoffs.

I don't see the point in getting mad at cautious people for making cautious decisions. Tony Romo had a similar injury in 2010 and missed the rest of the season. I would like to know why Aaron Rodgers thinks he can play. I’d also prefer to know why Mike McCarthy seemingly lobbied for him to play this week. The decision itself doesn’t surprise me, but I find those tidbits interesting.

Matt Flynn is starting, though, and I’m sure we all hope he’ll lead the team to victory. Maybe I'm misreading things, but if the Packers miss the playoffs, I get the feeling some are waiting to pounce on the front office for their cautious approach. No one game determines the regular-season.

The Packers could’ve signed Flynn after Oakland cut him. They didn’t and Flynn spent a week or two with Buffalo. Mike McCarthy made a poor decision in going to Scott Tolzein. What would’ve happened had Flynn started the full game against Minnesota? Finally, the Packers could have also defeated Cincinnati earlier in the year with Aaron Rodgers. There are many moving parts to a season.

Betting odds have been OFF all week.

Soon as the announcement is made Vegas makes the Packers 2.5 point favorites.

Could become a recurring injury if he comes back and breaks it again before it is completely healed. I want him to be absolutely 100% before he sets another foot onto the football field suited up.

It is funny how much better we handled this than the Redskins. God what a mess that is in DC.

Word is, two weeks ago the bone was less than 75% healed. It is an injury you can't cast to protect. If not completely healed, it would take very little pressure to re-break.

Why are you holding out?!?!? If you have Rodgers' x-rays, I want to see them too!

This seems stupid. It is a broken collar bone. He plays after being medically cleared, the way it should be.

This post made the most sense.
Of course we want him back. But think of the
out roar there would be if Aaron Rodgers got hurt worse
and screwed up his future?
The same people moaning now would be screaming
for Ted Thompson 's head for letting Aaron Rodgers at.

He's hurt, isn't allowed to play.
Can't do anything about it.
Hopefully Flynn can come through again!
