Still. Laughing.

Mike Florio said:
Vikings running back Adrian Peterson previously has mused publicly about finishing his football career in his home state of Texas. According to ESPN’s Outside The Lines, Peterson told Cowboys owner Jerry Jones in June that Peterson wants to end his career in Dallas.

“Well, I understand, Adrian,” Jones told Peterson by phone, via Don Van Atta, Jr. of ESPN. “I’d like that, too. . . . Well, I love your story. I love your daddy’s story. I’ve always respected what you’ve been about. I’ve always been a fan of yours.”

The quotes were “recounted” as part of a Jones profile, with the kind of specificity of words and sounds which suggests that Van Atta kept good notes, or possibly even had his tape recorder running.

“Well, we’ll see what we can do, if we can make that happen,” Jones told Peterson, via ESPN. “Hmm hmm. . . . I’d like that, too. . . . Well, we’re talking pig Latin here, but let’s see if we can do that. . . . We’re talking pig Latin here, but let’s see what we can do about that. OK, Adrian, thanks.”

Do we want that to happen? I mean, the Cowboys pounded us often in the 90s thanks to the raw material acquired from that trade. Do you want to have to deal with that twice a year for a decade?

The Cowboys are loaded at RB. Peterson's dreaming if he thinks they lift a finger to get him.

I've always felt badly for Adrian Peterson.
Although he is not quite a Barry Sanders (no one is), the circumstances are similar.

Peterson's talents have been and are being squandered with his being trapped in Vikings hell.

The fact that he seems like a nice guy makes it even worse. Kinda the same way I felt about Walter Payton. I mean if the guy is a world class A-hole who gives a shit, stay on that crapfest of a team, it serves you right. When nice guys don't get the chance it does make you feel a bit bad for them.

Of course I get over it knowing that even with a superstar like Peterson the vikings can't accomplish shit so it makes me feel much better.

I don't think the vikings are going to be lifting a finger to get rid of him either and they have him for another 3 years (I think) so it doesn't really matter. By the time his current deal is up the Cowboys situation may be different so who knows. Of course by then I doubt anyone would be talking about a Herschel Walker type deal even if they would be now (which I highly doubt)

beast (7h) : I'm not sure if it's still true, but it used to be hard to get sacks on Eli because he'd toss one up when linemen got semi-close (which lead
Zero2Cool (8h) : Slam Eli a lot very early. Once rattled he can't regain composure.
beast (9h) : since slot WRs might be the Packers strength depth/talent wise
beast (9h) : With AR's passing % down field so low, I've been saying they should go with short passes like the Pats used to do, especially since slot WRs
beast (9h) : What's going to be needed against the Giants is OL and DBs (IMO)
Smokey (28-Sep) : Cook(TE) has time to heal, but may not be needed against NYG on Oct 9th .
Zero2Cool (27-Sep) : . Aaron Rodgers has a completion percentage of 33.3 on 10+ air yard passes this season (tied for the lowest in NFL).
Zero2Cool (27-Sep) : High-ankle sprain could sideline Cook
Zero2Cool (26-Sep) : Odell Beckham Jr, Dez Bryant, Alshon Jeffery and Julio Jones on tap for Packers. Yippie.
Cheesey (26-Sep) : Arnold Palmer was a class act all around. RIP
Smokey (26-Sep) : Rest in Peace Arnold Palmer, you blessed us all .
hardrocker950 (26-Sep) : What a strange weekend of football
jdlax (26-Sep) : What's up, friends? It's like bizzaro world right now trailing the Vikings. Blah.
GoPack1984 (25-Sep) : Ryan Fitzpatrick threw 6 interceptions!
TheKanataThrilla (25-Sep) : Cleveland loses.
The_Green_Ninja (25-Sep) : I swear, Jacksonville's hot weather must be a huge advantage. Kept it super close with the Ravens
TheKanataThrilla (25-Sep) : Su'a Cravens with a big INT. A guy I wanted.
TheKanataThrilla (25-Sep) : Can Cleveland win?
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : T.J. Lang said after one of Aaron Rodgers' TD passes the Packers quarterback head-butted Lang in excitement and said "I'm back."
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : Terrelle Pryor could see snaps at quarterback
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : inactives 6 Callahan 37 Shields 42 Burnett 52 Matthews 68 Murphy 95 Jones 98 Guion
Mucky Tundra (25-Sep) : GET HYPE
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : Packers aim to showcase speed of Ty Montgomery, Trevor Davis
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : CB Quinten Rollins will start for Shields. Micah Hyde for Burnett. Julius Peppers for Matthews. Kenny Clark for Guion.
Tezzy (25-Sep) : Probably will not be on the top of the Pick'Em leaderboard after today, soaking it in beforehand
Tezzy (25-Sep) : Foosball!
yooperfan (25-Sep) : Game day, tee it up and get this show on the road!
