GREEN BAY, Wis. — If Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin is trying to intimidate Green Bay Packers center Corey Linsley, he might be messing with the wrong rookie.

There's no getting around the fact that Linsley, a fifth-round draft pick, will be making his NFL debut on Thursday against the Seattle Seahawks.

And he'll do it without having ever snapped a ball in a preseason game to quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

And he'll do it against the Seahawks' Legion of Boom defense.

Hope this isn't a jinx.

I have read a lot of big talk coming from Seattle this week. I have heard everything from Packers D being lousy to Cobb being a scrub. Every time I see that type of garbage, I am reminded of why I dislike them so much.

This is the biggest non-division win I want this year. Do us all a huge favor and shut those clowns up tomorrow night!

He should just STFU. He's a defending SB Champ and already resorting to sophomoric B.S. Grow up.

Seahawk fans can make noise, but Linsley is not going to be overwelmed at the size of the crowd.

This is the NFL not College, but from everything I have read from players and coaches he is ready.

Irvin should probably be talking shit about how he bent Bulaga over like a bitch last time in Seattle. I'm a lot more worried about our tackles than our interior O-line.

For all we know, he'll get blown to smithereens tomorrow night, but as you said in the post, he has endured worse than some of the circumstances he'll face vs. the Seahawks.

Not surprised that a Carroll-led team is acting like a bunch of clowns. I'm certainly hoping Linsley and company can shut them the hell up.

If they do, I hope Mike reverts to some quick release and misdirection to take advantage of the overpursuit and slow them down a bit. Instead of holding the ball for 8.5 waiting for shit to open up deep.

Never trust a guy named Bruce.

Considering his 4 game suspension last year for PED;s and his "grand total" of 2 sacks all last year, one might wonder if being picked 15th in the first round draft in 2012, Irvin should think about keeping his mouth shut and try to live up to his own hype.

Irvin should be less concerned about Linsley and way more concerned about the guy standing right behind Linsley.
I am chosen by many but taken by no one.

This game is largely about an offensive line's redemption particularly Bulaga. Linsley is not the only guy with something to prove.

Lacy should make things a bit easier on them.

You mean like last time when he ran the ball a grand total of ONE TIME in the 2nd half?

They didn't have Lacy, nor was m.m. As committed to the run as he was in 2013. Apples and oranges

My only issue with Corey Linsley in the realm of football is... the college he attended. Big Grin

I do think Linsley will be a liability, at least at times. I would feel more confident if he had more practice time with the starters. Playing in that stadium on opening night would be challenging for any center. As long as he can be average, the Packers will be OK. That won't be easy, though.

True. It just proves that just because you win a championship, that doesn't mean you have class.
Hopefully he will have his butt handed to him tonight.
