What are these chances you keep referring to? He was targeted 12 times all season and then 11 at Arizona. He was thrown to in Arizona and got real opportunity because as Steve said...they were forced. It shown light on their idiocy for not playing him.

Davante Adams was one of the worst starting WR's I've ever seen for any team. That is not hyperbole. He was flat out dreadful. To play that scrub over a guy who could really change a game like he did vs SD and at Minnesota (two wins, BTW).

Please stop making things up, Nerd. It isn't too much to ask. At the very least, if you're going to post things that aren't true post validation for why you're posting them. I want to know what opportunities you're referring to, again? 12 targets all season. Davante had 21 in one game. Davante produced no more yards on 21 targets than Janis did on his 4 vs. SD. San Diego was Week 6. Why did Davante continue getting targeted and not Janis? It's indefensible when looking at their production. Janis should've been on that field ALL season. We lived and died with Damarious...he killed us with his mistake at the end... Janis would've been so much more ready to help us in the stretch if he'd gotten more than 12 freaking targets all season. It was proven when he actually did get a chance (Arizona) he produced. He got little other chances all season. 2 catches for 79 at SD and then bench again. Foolishness.

Mike isn't an "idiot" for not thinking that Janis is better than Jerry Rice. FACT. Janis got his chances. If he knew where he was supposed to be and could get open, maybe he'd have gotten more targets. If he caught a ball before week 19, he might have also gotten more.

WR don't typically get targeted when they are not in the right spot or open. Janis had over 3 times the offensive snaps played than abberderis and yet had fewer targets.

Argue all you'd like against what you saw vs. Arizona. It's kinda cute that you really want a Packers player to fail because you believe someone else told you he was good.

What I've consistently said about Janis is he has unique gifts that none of our other WR's have. That is a fact. I have never said he was as good as Sanjay Beach much less Rice or Jones. I've never cited Rice, ever...that is a total Nerd deflective reflex. I have said he had measurables comparable to Julio Jones and that is a fact. Guys like him are rare like Julio. TRUTH. Don't have to like it. Doesn't have to make you happy but it's still the truth.

Janis finally got his targets. Why? Are you saying to me he figured it all out on the fly at Arizona? LMAO. He would've sat the pine if not out of necessity meaning that Mike McCarthy felt he didn't get it. You don't get it. Janis wasn't wanted out on the field...he was forced out there and when he finally got his opportunity through being forced he delivered quite nicely in a way that Darling Davante didn't all season.

Honestly, answer the question... Did Janis get his opportunities vs. Arizona because he magically got it some time during the game?

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

This IS an absolute travesty.

To think Aaron Rodgers expects his wr's to know their route assignments before gaining his trust is just ridiculous.

To think Mike McCarthy has let this go on for 2 years is unexplainable!

McCarthy must be fired NOW!

Aaron Rodgers must be traded NOW!

Ted Thompson can no longer put up with these unrealistic expectations from his QB!

He doesn't have the balls to make this right then HE MUST BE FIRED NOW!

Mark Murphy better figure this shit out or he will be shown the door also.

There are a couple arguments I tend to agree with on this thread. It bothers the heck out of me that Davante Adams who had an absolute shit year continued to get paraded out there. To me Mike McCarthy should have played Abby or Janis just to send him a message that he need to get his shit together.

Next argument is Mike McCarthy non-willingness to adjust and simply the offense to allow Janis to be a useful contributor. All I see is people wanting to bash Janis because he wasn't smart enough to learn the Green Bay system and gain Aaron's trust. Nothing is mentioned about the absolute idiocy and stuborness of Mike McCarthy to not simplify some plays to allow a guy with tremendous athletic talent to not get in on offense when it was pretty apparent that the lack of athletic talent was hurting the team.

Does this mean I want Mike McCarthy fired? I just know this will be the response of some. No. But I sure as heck would like some of the blame placed where it belongs. To me this is like not making adjustments at half-time. You know you have a problem and a quarterback who is obviously annoyed. Why we continued to do the same stupid shit for months is beyone me.

That said, he still dropped a goal line slant against AZ (?) late in the regular season. Aaron Rodgers was pissed in the Division game when he was running the wrong route in a goal line situation. Janis was still giving the coaches and Aaron Rodgers reasons to doubt him.

McCarthy came out and said, we are not going to change the offense, we expect the next player to step up. Great coaches adjust to match their players.

Most of this season, all we heard was WR failed to get separation. But never did I see an adjustment to help them. Motion across the field to push the DB back so they can't jam off th LOS. The Oline was getting destroyed but did McCarthy adjust the play calling to help them. No we continued to run the same routes. There was an article that showed some clips with Rodgers getting sacked. What the showed was Rodgers hitting the back of his drop and all the receivers still running up field with their backs to him. Nobody running a pattern under 10 yards. When the Oline is struggling, and the WR are struggling, continuing to run deeper routes makes it easier on defenses. Put Abby or Janis on a slant or square in or a simple hook route. It doesn't take a lot of experience to be able to run those.
