If the Packers kicked and made that FG, the Bears would have been forced to go for it on 4th down and would have probably been up by 1 and that last drive would have had a lot more pressure on the team. When it was tied 27 up, you are more relaxed because in your mind you're thinking at worst it's a tie. When you're down by one, you know you gotta amp some shit up lol

Not excusing Mike McCarthy going for it earlier, just tossing that out there. Also, I was good with going for it, I just very much didn't like the play call, or at least what looked like what was called. I think on 4th and 3 you run quick slants and lead the WR to the ball and zingalingding 1st down!!

I like going for it on 4th and manageable aggressively a LOT more when Rodgers is healthy. If it's not 4th and 1 or less, I always like throwing the ball, Rodgers always has the option to scramble for the 1st down if he doesn't have someone open.

Amazing that basically every DC in the league that actually gets paid goes into a soft defense, when all the experts watching from home know better.

So what do you want Mike to do? If he just runs the ball to eat clock and burn timeouts, you complain that he is choking, when he is running pretty much normal plays and the clock doesn't get chewed up, you complain that he is choking. It couldn't possibly be that for two series in the 4th, the offense didn't execute enough, not could it.

Rodgers gets sacked. Bears ball, momentum changes, they go down and make it 7-3. Pack go 3 and out, Bears then go down and take the lead 10-7. 3rd quarter...Pack come out and intercept Barkley, and proceed to a 27-10 lead, Bears fans start leaving the game.
Now fast forward to the 3rd quarter, Pack up 27-10......Capers goes into his soft zone, Bears start scoring and Mike McCarthy doesn't know what to do, so on 1st and 10, he starts going for the bomb. Pack go 3 and out again and again. Mike McCarthy doesn't know what to do, except going back to his predictable play calling and play not to lose..........

Mike would be the last person I blamed if we lost. Davante knows. He tweeted about. Damarius knows. He was taken out of the game. But we won. YAY. Two more to go.

Let's see.......Davante Adams had TWO drops that would have been touchdowns. Jordy Nelson would have had a HUGE gain on one throw, but the refs missed the defender grabbing his arm and pulling it down before the ball got there.
You know, the Bears players get paid to play too! Plus, you KNOW they wanted to knock the Packers out of playoff hopes.
The fact that Aaron Rodgers was pretty much a sitting duck in the pocket didn't help. There were MANY times where he normally would have taken off for big gains. He toughed it out, and with no time outs he got down the field to FG position, and, WE WON!

And who here would have thought that Monty would have run for 162 yards and TWO TD's? I sure didn't!
And there were a few times where I was yelling at the TV, "Why are you running the ball???" as Monty SEEMED to be stopped at the line of scrimmage, when he burst through for big gains.
Shows you how much I know!🤣

Seems like that Chicago Numbnuts did a good job calling timeouts. Twice after a timeout the Bears sacked Rodgers. Damn that Mike McCarthy!!!
