Anyone else notice the Fox’s commercials are better after a GB TD?

GB is now 1-5 with Hochuli reffing GB playoff games.

This team was ready. Every phase was outstanding. Only 1 penalty [The Int. Ground; Monty did not hit that guy in the back].

Spec teams damn near perfect: good overage on kicks, great coverage on punts; really good on both kick and punt returns. Crosby one great directional kick, one good boomer; Schum only had one dud and couple of nice ones and no penalties [Monty was not a block in the back, BS call]. On the first punt Harris was standing near the ball and heads-up Goode tried to push him into the ball.

The D was great given the ineptitude of Rodgers early and helped by some drops.

Gunter was unbelievable and he played right and left. Though he did have a couple of coverage failures.

Hyde played well, though not as good as in Oct, but not bad and I think he screwed up on the long TD, see below.

Randall played great. Surprised me because he has been bad in College and pro cold games [there were 2 so not the largest sample size] He gave up a 15 yarder to Sheppard. And I’m 99% sure Hyde screwed up on the long TD pass. GB gave a 2 deep look. Gunter was on OBJ on GB left, he had inside leverage to stop the slat and cross. Burnett sprinted left just before snap as they were disguising the bracket coverage Burnett and Gunter had on OBJ. Hyde followed TE right in flat; Dix followed Sheppard, so everyone appeared in man but Randall was playing Deep right zone. I think Hyde screwed up because both Ryan and Hyde post snap went to cover TE in right flat. When Ryan saw Hyde heading to right flat, he peeled off and looked lost and he sprinted back to deep center, probably to locate Hyde’s man Sheppard. The announcers said Dix “jumped” the route by Sheppard; but I think Dix saw that Hyde screwed up and Sheppard was running free. If Capers called zone right and Brackman left, Randall’s job is to protect the deep right against the TE running a wheel route or King to run a corner or seem route and Dix had King if he came to the middle. So either Hyde screwed up or both Ryan and Randall did.

That said, once Randall saw Hyde go to flat, he could have and should have reacted a split second sooner. This is why it takes years to be a really good CB

Jake Ryan played an absolutely elite game.

Monty is the toughest SOB on the planet.

Michael looked unbelievable. I’d love to see that guy catch some passes in space.

I Just don’t know what is up with Rodgers. 2nd play of game he stands in fires to Cook; I’m thinking that is Aaron Rodgers. Then on 3rd and 2 he throws that long one to Cook, when Cobb wide open running an In just past the sticks. We needed some firsts to protect the D, we don’t need a long pass that might have us punting.

Then on second drive after a 1st on comebacker to Jordy; he has Cook open on short slant and passes it up for scramble and Inc. Next play he has Adams wide open on slant and passes that up for long Inc. to Cook right. On 2nd and 11 after Monty -1 yard screen pass, he has Adams, Cobb, Nelson and Cook wide open for 5-7 yard passes and he turns all that down for an 11 yard sack. Spagnola must have known that Rodgers wont throw the short pass on 2nd and 11. Well if the DBs are playing off, you better take the 5 ‘cause you’re not throwing deeper. That 5 yard pass puts us in FG range and makes 3rd very manageable.

On third drive. Rodgers passes up a wide open Cook on a one line In for a 4 yard sack. On 2nd and 14 Cook is wide open on slant right and Rodgers threw a pass left to “nobody” according to announcers. Allison was in left slot and ran a cross on left side with Adams; Allison did a wheel up the side line and Rodgers expected him to run the out. Guessing that was on Allison, but with as horrible as Doppleganger was playing, can’t be sure. On 3rd and 14 he could have hit Nelson deep in, but that would have been a hell of a throw; but Cook did an arrow route outside and NO ONE was near him and Rodgers took a 15 yard sack.

After 3 drives we had -8 yards…MINUS 8.

Drive 4- he hung Jordy out to dry. The drive ended when he threw too high to Adams and Apple was able to knock out the ball.

Drive 5- I couldn’t believe that IG penalty Rodgers got. On 3rd and 4 Adams was open past sticks on right; Cook was WIDE OPEN on an In route just past the sticks. And Rodgers threw it left while inside the pocket and no one was in the zip code. Its like he was hallucinating.

This was a mental mistake I just can’t believe Rodgers makes; there was something mentally wrong with Rodgers.

On 1st drive of 3rd Q, Rodgers took a sack rolling to outside, I cant believe he took a sack going OOB and did not throw ball away. Never seen him do this. Again, he had his head completely up his ass. For most of the first half.

Other than this he was absolutely spectacular. This guy needs a therapist. I didn’t think it was possible to play so poorly and so well for so long in the same game.

BTW, Damarious Randall was supposed to have help over the top on the TD he gave up. I can't remember if it was 21 or 42 or 29 that should have been up top. (not even positive 29 was on the field but thought I saw him deep a few times)

It was Dix who was in center of the field and he "left his post" to cover Sheppard running free. Randall played it like he had help; but how do you know Randall didn't have King man?

We did have some blown coverages and they dropped a few but our guys actually broke up a lot of passes it looked like. I don't know if there is an official count anywhere but let's give them some credit.

Jake Ryan and Mike Daniels were beasts tonight. I think Daniels almost took a couple of their handoffs. Peppers was big, he's playing like he wants a ring. Matthews made one great play awesome effort but was a complete no show the rest of the game getting plastered by a bad LT. I don't think he even sniffed Eli once outside that 1 play.

Cobb a no show all year mostly shows up BIG tonight, hopefully it was an injury issue. Davante's terrible year was officially an injury problem. He's a good player even though he dropped 5 or 6 TDs this year. We still need someone who can win deep against man coverage but davante is a good piece to a wr group.

beast (5-Apr) : The 25th pick in the draft has been an offensive player since 2017, 2 TE, 2 WR, 1 RB, 1 OC
Mucky Tundra (5-Apr) : Odd, why give up a 2025 2nd Rounder for him if you're just gonna let him walk?

buckeyepackfan (4-Apr) : 49r's aign RB Patrick Taylor.

Mucky Tundra (4-Apr) : Gotta imagine that Green Bay vs Houston will be a primetime game this upcoming season
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : No. Kill QB. No worries. 😁
Mucky Tundra (3-Apr) : Diggs, Collins, Dell and Schultz is gonna be tough to cover
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Stefon Diggs' trade will not be processed as a post-June 1 designation, so that is just over $31 million in dead cap this year.
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Bills trading WR Stefon Diggs to the Texans in exchange for a 2025 2nd-round pick. (via @rapsheet)
beast (3-Apr) : Using Patterson as RB and RB/WR tweener... so I think they also signed Patterson as a 3rd down RB, not just a kick returner as articles are
beast (3-Apr) : I think PFT missed the real Steelers/Patterson connection, Steelers new OC Arthur Smith has been Patterson's head coach the last 3 years
wpr (2-Apr) : It has Martha. I was stunned when I was in HS to learn Iowa was still playing half court BB in the 70's.
Martha Careful (2-Apr) : Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese...women's sports has come a long way. GREAT TO SEE!!
Martha Careful (31-Mar) : Happy Easter everyone. I hope you all have a great day.

Mucky Tundra (28-Mar) : Yes

Mucky Tundra (28-Mar) : End of a Degu-era
dhazer (28-Mar) : Steelers sign Patterson because of new kickoff rule interesting
