A new crop of RB's enter the NFL this season. GB's include Jamaal Williams and Aaron Jones. Some like Joe Mixon and Leonard Fournette and Christian McCaffrey are already fairly well known. Others are not yet household names, but may be .
IMO, 2017 will see a resurgence at the RB position. Teams like the Cardinals and the Cowboys will again field strong RBs . Some like the Vikings and Chiefs are hoping to reload at the position. While teams like Jacksonville and Cincinnati look for a new weapons to spearhead their teams to better records.
Yes rookies will emerge at the WR and TE positions, but offensively , IMO the new stars of 2017 will shine from the RB position.
What say you ?

That actually sounds quite logical.
The past has been a more and more passing league. Which of course has made teams line up their defenses for passing. That could open up the running game once again.

I personally would love to see the NFL game return to "smashmouth" football ala the 60's.
The devolution of the NFL to the Canadian Football League and the Arena Football League has never really grabbed me.

The 60's indeed had some HOF RBs, but so have each decade sense. From bruisers like Franco Harris and Earl Campbell, to cutback runners like Barry Sanders and Eric Dickerson, to runners such as Emmit Smith and OJ Simpson , to Thurman Thomas and Walter Payton who earned respect, and more.
I believe that this years Rookie RB class will give us some more of those , Wow did you see that , memories .
