Green Bay Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy is a real bag of shit. However, even Mark Murphy out Mark Murphy'ed himself in the past week. Credibility: gone. Frame it however you'd like.

Although I agree with many of the points in this article, it is still a little harsh. But Murphy does not inspire much confidence. I think it's mostly a style thing, but still a little concerning.

Murphy gets his chance to make a mistake or make a great move. Bob Harlan trusted him with the position. We shall see.

Consider the source. It is meant to be click bait. I stopped reading his stuff a while back.

Eh, it's meant to be click-bait and also just kinda funny. It's a style of its own, and certainty doesn't take itself serious. But with that being said, Murphy's press conferences don't inspire much confidence and I agree with some of the points. Has everyone here watched all of his recent press conferences? Not very professional and seems disorganized. Not what I like to see from the leader of a massive organization. Who cares about the article, I thought these things before every reading it. It may mean nothing, but I'd like the leader to have a more professional style. Just my preference.

I know you like them Dodd. I don't mean to be little you for doing so. I find it irritating instead of funny. I guess I am too old for their kind of humor.

Regardless of that website, my point is that Murphy doesn't inspire much confidence, imo. Hopefully it's just a style thing. I would expect more of him if he was an employee of mine.

I think the articles are so ridiculous and devoid of facts they're often laughable but I don't think that's what totalpackers is going for. I think they take themselves pretty seriously.

They do and that's what's worse. The only reason they're included in our feed is because once in while they have a headline that spurs an idea. They have one or two writers who are decent. Mordecai or whatever we is a hyperbolic wannabe.

I don't mind you including them in the feed. It makes it easier for members to follow them.
The more personalities providing input the better. I think it's nerd who pulls in articles from PFT all the time.

This isn't a topic about Total Packers. I intended it to be a topic to discuss Mark Murphy's lack of professionalism. Am I the only one that is slightly bothered by the way he seems to handle things?

You aren’t the only person.
I never cared for the man from the start and was confused as to why he was chosen but for all the grief I got about my dislike for Thompson from the beginning I just kept my fingers from doing the talking.

Yeah he's not really that likeable but it sounds like all these big changes being made that everyone wanted wouldn't have happened if he didn't force them.

I didn't pay enough attention when he was hired. I guess he's pretty qualified? Something about a law degree and an MBA? A NFL background. But man, he's not the guy I would want running my company, unless he just sucks publicly but is a genius behind closed doors.

Well what about the way he handle things, bothered you?

Unless something is mean, disrespectful or rude... I tend to overlook the way something is done, and see more the what was done.

I'm amazed no one has pointed out that Mark Murphy has admitted publicly he's a Bills fan -- not to mention, he played for the Redskins for years -- which makes it obvious that hiring as president and CEO was nothing more than a conspiracy to keep the Packers from ever achieving dominance in our lifetime. Happy Dance

Perhaps he waited too long, but most of us were clamoring for action...and we got it. He pulled the trigger.
We live in a results world so it would seem to be more appropriate to judge people by what they get done, not how smoothly they communicatee.
Yes, we would all like to have both, but I would prefer good decisions to a smooth scheister any time. Belichick is not the greatest speaker either. Neither is Mike Zimmer, neither was Aristotle or Isaac Newton.

Sure, but it's not unreasonable to expect that a CEO can do both. Especially after some potentially questionable decisions, and "silos" that somehow developed under his leadership, which apparently lead to some of these issues.

Pack93z (20-Jul) : Why did Revis fall off so sudden? Personally, because he only relied on physical tools he had... short area burst to close and speed. Once gone... he was toast.
gbguy20 (20-Jul) : how has harris been doing as a coach? I've always wanted him or chuck to come back to coach ehre
Zero2Cool (20-Jul) : Revis mastered crazy closing speed and holding lol. Dunno, maybe he can coach. I don't think so.
beast (19-Jul) : Harris has been coaching with the Chiefs since 2013... Andy Reid seems to like hiring former players. He's also the one that got Doug Pederson into NFL coaching.
gbguy20 (19-Jul) : Harris is coaching??? Why the he'll isn't he doing it here
beast (19-Jul) : In some aspects, I completely agree with you. BUT Revis also mastered the jam at the line, which he learned. Just like some guy named Al Harris who is currently a coach in the NFL.
Zero2Cool (18-Jul) : Revis was a freak talent, he can't teach that. Same reason why Jordan can't coach. (jus my opinion)
beast (18-Jul) : Wonder if Revis might be interested in helping teaching in Pettine's system
Zero2Cool (18-Jul) : Darrelle Revis has announced he is officially retiring from the NFL.

Cheesey (12-Jul) : Uh oh....I better change my password on my luggage....
nerdmann (11-Jul) : Whenever some security BS forces me to change my password, it usually ends up being a string of expletives.
Zero2Cool (11-Jul) : 12345
Porforis (11-Jul) : It sounds like the kind of password an idiot would use on his luggage!
Cheesey (10-Jul) : Well, just change your password to “idontremember” and that will solve your problem! LOL!
KRK (10-Jul) : i would have to ask Z2C for an exact number....I am sure it more than 4 times over the last 6 months!!!
Cheesey (10-Jul) : KRK, are you sure? Maybe you forgot it more then 3 times, but don’t remember it! LOL!
