During the off season I had us 7 - 5 and going 3 - 1 in these last four games. I still say the best we do is 3 - 1 through these last four games. Obviously, that just won't be enough.

During the offseason, that game at Jacksonville looked a lot tougher than it does now. I really don't see the Viking going 3-1 over that 4 game span. If we win out, I think we'll get in.

4-0 is doable but not likely. We've already crushed two of those teams and the other two just aren't very good but we've been way too inconsistent this year to win out in my opinion. Then again how many of us thought the Pack would win their last 4 two years ago to finish 8-8? If only we can get another turnaround like that.

I don't understand the "not a chance" thing. If we win out (meaning we beat the Bears week 16) and Minnesota goes 2-2, don't we win the division? We're 1-1 heads up against Minnesota, and we'd have a better division.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

I mean, it's certainly not likely, but it COULD happen. Thus ... why the "not a chance"?

Zero-

I like your math, but see a couple of problems with your scenario:

1) Having lost 4 out of their last 5, they haven't showed me anything to make me think they can win 4 straight

2) Minn could easily go 3-1 over those last 4, taking either the game at Arizona or the Atlanta game at home (or both, and losing the game to NY)

I'm not sure if I get it or not, but if we are tied with the Vikings at 9-7 and we have a better division record . . then wouldn't we have the tie breaker??

If i am reading it right, yes that is correct. If we win out and vikings lose 2. We beat them in the better division record tie breaker. Am i correct?

Why? First off, the North winner will have a home game regardless of record. Second, the wild card teams (Carolina/TB/Dallas/Washington/Atalanta) aren't significantly better than Minnesota or GB.

In fact, if Arizona is the third seed, I bet the wild card team would prefer to be the 6th seed rather than the 5th. Traveling to Arizona seems more desirable than playing in the Metrodome or Lambeau in January.

Packers are top 4-5 teams NFC ... If only they can fix the issues on the d-line (def coord. change) this team would of won 2-3 games more this season easily.

I mean we've got a first year qb ...

The scenario I laid out is in my opinion the best scenario that is the most likely to occur IF we were to get in.

I do not think we will win out though. And I do not think the Vikings will lost more than one game in the last four. Even if they were to split two and two, I don't see us being able to string FOUR games together when we haven't done it at all this year, even if you back up to the pre season.

We can string two, sometimes a third against a crappy team. That's about it.

Unfortunately. I think the damn Vikings are going to get the division. Things are favoring them.

I never said I was giving up, but I'm still pissed about that Titans and games since. That was a negative turning point for our season. We could and SHOULD have won that game. Yeah we beat the Bears blah blah ...

We could be sitting at the top if not for a few screw ups.
But it is what it is.....we can't change it.
Now the Pack HAS to win and HOPE for someone else to help us out.

Us losing to the Panthers may end up helping us in the long run. Say the Giants lose one of the next three games, or even two of the next three, and the Panthers win out. The Giants will need to beat the Vikings to ensure homefield advantage.

edit--- Even better the Giants and Panthers play Week 16. This could turn out to be pretty interesting. That is if the Packers win, if they lose one more its over.

Two years ago The Pack was sitting at 4-8, most were writing off the season, what happened?, Pack goes 4-0 last 4 games, and were the LAST team eliminated from the play-offs.

Pack does not control their destiney so they need to just go out and win the rest and see who's sittin at the top after week 17.

You can't worry about what everyone else is doing because it does no good.

Even if The Packers make it and get blown out in the play-offs, the experience alone is invaluable.

You don't win play-off games untill you lose enough to learn how to win them.

Go Pack!!!! ONE AT A TIME WILL GET US THERE!!!

The experience for Rodgers and the rest of the team in the playoffs would help out yes. Experience can not be priced.

I'm not worried about anyone else but the Packers, but when you think about the Packers and going four and zero... isn't it wise to look at the other teams to see what could be?
