all you calling for Cowher, do realize that he was in Pittsburgh for 14 seasons before sniffing a Super Bowl right?? I mean you realize he had like 4 seasons at or below .500 football right??? I MEAN RIGHT!!? God i cant believe it. that takes a little more patience than some of you seem capable of.

I cant even describe how freakin stupid the mere notion of firing Mike McCarthy after this season would be. cant even begin.

how short sighted can one fanbase be?

I love that irrational impatient idiotic fans are calling for our coaches head and hoping to replace him with a guy who owes his slightly above average head coaching career to one thing.... a patient owner. If the Rooney family was anything like some of you people, Bill Cowher wouldn't even be a defensive coordinator right now.

Get a grip...firing Mike McCarthy would be the dumbest move this franchise could make.

As short sided and *edited* as you and your *edited* calling for Favre's dismissal. This is a forum, and people have a right to their opinions, don't they?

Might as well let Mike McCarthy stay for another year, what's the point in firing him now? Until Ted Thompson is let go, the Packer house will always remain "unclean".

I wanted Sean Peyton, anyway. Or Spagnola from the Giants.

Don't you mean 2nd biggest hahahahahahahaha. Ok im dying laughing here i'm watching espn First Take and the idiot steven a smith is saying the packers losing is all because of Brett to damn funny. But it got me thinking if Brett was here this year and we had the same record most of you posters that are backing Mike McCarthy would be puttig the blame on Brett. I say we all pitch in ad get Mike McCarthy a train ticket because apparently he also missed the train that left the building.

You people say hes a good coach, well a good coach fixes the problems that happen every damn week. He is a coach that plays not to lose the game instead of playing to win the game.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

If it happens that McCarthy is let go. I want to see a defensive HC. The offense can be successful with a strong OC, and the addition of a HC that is defensive minded would be a nice change.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Nope.. I will stay the course with McCarthy, but I will say this.. he seriously needs to evaluate his staff and scheme.. changes or growth is necessary pronto.

Holmgren pissed away his chance by being impatient, he could have had the control he coveted if he would have remained patient.. I love the intensity that he brings, but could I look at him and embrace him as the HC after his sellout?

Nope.

If Mike McCarthy takes a fall.. I want someone to come in here will a set of Brass nuts and breathe some fire into this roster.. he might toast one or two players but we will become a better team for it... but I seen that from Mike McCarthy last season.. I seriously think Mike McCarthy personal life changes and adjustments there about had some to do with it.. then all the Packer drama and media spin piled on top.

I fully agree that changes and adjustments need to be made. However, I would be saying that if we went 16-0. I don't think you can remain stagnant in the NFL for even a second.

We need to get it on track, and there is no better head coach for the job than Mike McCarthy. This just isnt our year. The Panthers went 7-9 last season including some blowouts in the middle of the season. The defense looked like a shell of its former self and they had problems. Instead of being complete and utter dumbasses and firing their head coach, the Panthers front office took a deep breath and now look at them... one of the elite teams in the league.

Firing a head coach who has had to deal with massive amounts of drama, life changes and injuries throughout the year... yet never got blown out and always seemed to be in games is hardly the answer. It just simply isn't our year... and firing Mike McCarthy would end with us saying... it just isn't our decade.

I think we need to replace Bob Sanders. It isn't because of our record. It isnt because I am an insecure fan who thinks massive overhauls and mass firings is the answer. It isn't because I can't handle dejection or loss and therefore need a firing to satisfy my blood thirst. Its because I want a DC that doesn't just know a scheme, but creates one. I want a guy who breathes his defense not just manages it. Someone who can make adjustments to the plan, because it is HIS plan and he knows it like he knows his own self. Sanders is treading water. He took a great system with some great players and he is just in over his head.

+1 You're on a roll today.

And I totally agree with what you say against stagnation. That's why I get so sick of sentimental fans who bitch that management "isn't loyal" when they cut "fan favorites" who aren't performing. Screw that. The point is to win. The only thing irrational loyalty does is guarantee team obsolescence. If winning means cutting players past the peak of the glory, so be it. We're not running an asylum for legends with fading halos. Even the greatest players don't have some sort of "right" to retire on their own terms, as so many maudlin fanatics claim, foam dribbling from their lips. A player stays only insofar as he improves the team, or until a viable successor arises to take his place, and not a moment longer.

Well, Ted Thompson should have taken your advice because BF would have definitely improved the Packers this year, and Aaron Rodgers wouldn't have beaten him out in a head to head to succeed him this year, imo. So it seems that Ted Thompson was being "loyal" and "sentimental" to Aaron Rodgers contrary to all logic.

We are not running an asylum to "potential" either, or shouldn't be...just to winning. Just to winning...

I think M.M is a good coach,he needs to be hard on some players though or maybe some coaches, players that keep making same mistakes, just frustrating,I agree Sanders needs to either use the brain God gave him,and come up with new game plans throw opponents,o-line off kilter or get some one who can.
