no boos...indifference speaks volumes.

personally I would boo becuase I interpret his actions to be at least partially motivated by a personal vendetta against the packers. I consider it very disrespectful of the team that treated him so well, thus, I don't think he deserves any respect from me while he's wearing a viking's uniform.

I also think the Ted Thompson mask idea is pretty funny.

I said boo but really for me that would be a string of obscenities which I wouldn't be able to say too loud for fear of children hearing and tainting their virgin ears. So effectively on the field it'd be just as if I weren't making any sound.

boy what a laugh, people went on the hate Brett idea when he first was going to the Vikes, then he says hes staying retired and he was loved and once again he goes to the Vikes and the hate starts again.

If you want to be real Packer fans you would cheer him during introductions (after all he wasn't wanted here) and then the rest of the game you would treat him just like any other opposing qb. But i guess if people want to boo him thats their choice but i for one like the feeling of being known as part of the classiest fans in the NFL. But at this rate the days of the great fans are gone and the idiots are now taking over, no wonder we are no longer the best fans in the NFL and other teams are considered ahead of us.

I remember when Lofton came back to play against the Pack and he was cheered during intros and then treated like any other player after that.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I don't really get the "booing" thing either, but to each his/her own. I like the indifference. Maybe a golf clap.

dhazer-I like that packer fans rarely if ever boo their own players, I think that's a great sign of respect, and something to take pride in as some of (if not the) best fans in football.

The Brett thing is another animal. Maybe I'm wrong, but I interpret Brett's actions (at least in part, not entirely) as a purposeful personal jab at this organization that treated him so well for so many years. I interpret his actions to be very classless, thus would not feel the least bit of shame in voicing my displeasure with the way he is trying to disrespect the packer family.

haze, this isn't the same as Lofton. Brett did many things in his last few years in GB to basically wear out his welcome. He had had enough of the execs, and the execs had had enough of him. Sad, but it happens all the time. So, a divorce. Then he goes on and handles things in a way that I don't like. I'm not going to apologize for being upset with him. That's my prerogative.

So, I will not cheer for Brett when he comes out of the tunnel. I will cheer for him if he gets knocked down, looks hurt, then gets assisted off the field, just like I did for Adrian Peterson in GB last year. He's a great player and I hate seeing anyone get hurt. So, I'll do what I think is right. I'll cheer for the Packers and against their rivals. And I won't buy one of these:

but I can chuckle at it when I see it. I'm not classless enough to get one. Brett Favre is and most likely always will be my one football hero. But, over the course of the last 6-8 years, my hero has developed into a preeeeeeetty self-important person, and that makes me sad. We all want our heroes to be perfect, and it hurts when we realize that we're delusional and that they are, in fact, just people like you and me.

I will not boo my hero. But I hope my team kicks the shit out of his team.

Cause it's the VIKINGS.....seriously. Figure it out Packer fan.

There was this tiny part of me and i'm sure many other fans, that hoped part of his reason for staying retired was out of respect for said fans. What a relief not to see Brett in that purple uniform! right

and once again he goes to the Vikes and the hate starts again.

Now we realize there was absolutely no chance he thought about the fans. Also, see the first response.

You want to finish your career here?

Considering I can't keep my middle finger down everytime I see him on the television, chances are I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth shut if I were at the game. BOO to say the least.
