Eh, the rule kind of makes sense even though I disagree with it. I don't really care though, this league has kind of handcuffed me from the start:

I only have one QB Matt Cassel and he was out for the first game so I had to start Pat White who has 0 fantasy points this season. I also had to start him my bye week. Now my only TE, by far my best player Owen Daniels is gone for the season and the highest points for TE's in FA is 5 for the whole season. 5 frickin points. So why can't I trade with a team that's out of contention to fill the void I have at TE?

That's TE. Once a TE gets injured, you might be screwed in any league. It's luck of the draw. But who says you can't trade for a TE with a team in contention? I believe, really, every team still is. Or atleast 18/20.

Oh and, there have been a lot of QBs who took over starting that were originally a FA.

Maybe if you also made a rule that you can't have 4 QB's on your roster I might not be having this problem...

Also I wouldn't be screwed in any other league. The fact is that there are 20 teams in this league and when I had a bye week for my defense there wasn't even one I could pick up. If I were in a regular 12 team league and I needed a defense, even if every team had two I could still pick up something. Same goes for TE, if I were in a regular league there'd be someone I could pick that at least had a chance to get me 3 or more points a week instead of one that only has 3 points on the whole season.

Plus it's not like I can go trading for a TE because half of the teams only have one TE on their whole team.

BTW, for one I'm a QB whore :thumbright: (But only one starts). Second, I then guess someone should have had a back-up plan at TE... :thumbleft:

It's hard to have a back-up plan when only 12 out of 20 teams can actually have a back-up plan...?

I understand I'm complaining and yes it's all a part of playing in a 20 game league. I'm just trying to point out that I've been handcuffed from the start because of the 20 player format. dhazer said it perfectly when he pointed out that his team was set after the draft. I haven't used one FA pickup yet (unless you count Dreesen and White who have combined for a stellar 1 point the whole season).

The rule makes sense, changing it in Week 9, absurd.

Another reason I don't like PH tagged with something led by ... well ... you know ... one of them ... Yankees fans. :P

I don't like the new rule, if its a bad trade veto it, also do like alot of the leagues i get into have a vote on if it should go thru. With your new rule you will actually take away from alot of trading thus not much is done now but what team in contention is going to want to trade to help someone else in contention? But i have bitched about this league from day 1 with to many players drafted with this many teams.

uffda udfa (9m) : Not if Matt Ryan puts up a 40 passer rating. :) The last two were unfavorable conditions. This is dome time.
Cheesey (16m) : Smokey, went to fire up the crock pot to slow cook some chicken gizzards, it burned out!
Zero2Cool (28m) : Aaron Rodgers' passer rating in his 4 career games at the Georgia Dome: 114.5, 136.8, 117.0, 125.5.
Zero2Cool (4h) : from Rob Reischel @robreischel
Zero2Cool (4h) : Rodgers has played in 2 NFC Championship games. QB ratings were 56.7 and 55.9. That's won't cut it Sunday
Porforis (4h) : Have to fill the 24/7 news cycle with something.
Smokey (5h) : True, Zero
Zero2Cool (5h) : Rodgers didn't draw it up, it was selected from options. Duh.
uffda udfa (7h) : Zeke Elliott tired of domestic violence investigation. NFL moving forward now.
Smokey (13h) : Did u fire up the crock pot ?
Smokey (13h) : Jolly good show ole chap ! LOL
Cheesey (13h) : Smokey! Darn spell check! LOL!
Cheesey (13h) : Hey smiley! Just saw your shout out! How bout them Packers!
Smokey (13h) : Hello Cheesey !
GoPack1984 (16h) : I hope not. Please be something like 41-28 Packers.
uffda udfa (16h) : I agree with Chmura. This looks like a double 40 burger.
uffda udfa (16h) : The hug on the sidelines?
uffda udfa (16h) : What seemed so emotional?
Zero2Cool (16h) : No, but I am curious why that seemed so emotional. I might be reading into it too much.
uffda udfa (17h) : Anyone ever get confused looking at Alex Van Pelt thinking it's MM?
uffda udfa (18h) : I hope they aren't going to dial it down believing in destiny .
Zero2Cool (19h) : Jason Wilde: Packers "feel like a team of destiny"
uffda udfa (21h) : They'll need all the Julio Joneses they can get.
Zero2Cool (21h) : Chmura: "I'll tell you this: Atlanta's going to score 40 points. They are. The #Packers are going to have to score 41."
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : Damn-Falcons coach Dan Quinn tells reporters that WR Julio Jones (foot) will be limited this week but will be “ready to rock” on Sunday.
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : Packers defense has a red zone INT in each of the last 3 games... Hyde with two of them. (One being the clutch 4thQ INT vs DET in Week 17)
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : Randall Cobb, Damarious Randall, Quentin Rollins, James Starks, Clay Matthews, Ty Montgomery & Jared Cook. OUT
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : Packers inactive list when they lost 33-32 to the Falcons week 8.
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : There is no emphasis, it's just a little bit of info. Take it or leave it. No harm.
Smokey (16-Jan) : Zero, I believe that you and some others place too much emphasis upon data. no harm intended.
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : It’s the 1st time since 1970 all 4 conference championship teams finished the regular season on winning streaks of 4+ games
TheKanataThrilla (16-Jan) : Salt mine. Love it.
TheKanataThrilla (16-Jan) : The refs kept that game close. We should have blown them out early.
DarkaneRules (16-Jan) : Hyde and Gunter are special and I'm hopeful D Ran gets back to where he can be
mi_keys (16-Jan) : That whole forum is a salt mine. It's beautiful.
