I hope we hang onto Underwood one way or another. I don't think you usually can get a guy in the 6th round or whatever it was that shows as much as he has this early on.

what was all your impressions of clay?

Clay tends to be sticky and moldable. When fired in a kiln, it becomes hard but brittle. When coated in glaze, it develops a high sheen.

Wait, what? Oh, you mean Clay? Sowwie.

I like Underwood too. I bet he can return kicks and punts.

Will Bishop put Hawk to shame?

"Dulak" wrote:

Nope... Bishop showed why he's the #4 ILB and not starting....

Hawk just plain doesn't make mistakes. He also did the dirty work to open up Chillar a lot early on.

"beast" wrote:

When you talk about bishop do you base this on the fact he had the most solo tackles of the game 7 or because he had 2 interceptions the first 2 preseason games?
and to top it off he had the most tackles out of anyone on the team this preseason at 26
http://www.nfl.com/teams/greenbaypackers/statistics?team=GB

Bishop has my nod for best ILB this preseason. But ya it sounds like they will mainly be using him for passing downs (to cause pressure).

I was going to note that sadly so far I am not that excited about our ROLB - maybin and orakpo are tearing it up on their teams and I am jealous.

"nerdmann" wrote:

I base it on that Bishop makes a lot of mistakes.... yes he makes a lot of plays but he also makes a lot of mistakes....... there is a reason he's #4 ILB.

This is like the whole who better Collins or Rouse a couple of years ago.....

People were saying Bigby and Rouse were the best because they were making the most plays when really Collins was CLEARLY the best because he made the least mistakes.....

Same with Smith this year... people are saying he's better than Bigby when Smith is making more plays and more mistakes.

Just because Bishop (who's really good and could start for a lot of teams IMO) is making the most plays against worse talent doesn't means he's any better.... he's the 4th ILB for a reason... because the others are better.

I don't think Bishop has made that many mistakes. If Bishop and Hawk were drafted in the same round I really have a hard time believing Hawk opens the season as the starter.

Why? Draft round has nothing to do with how they're playing.... and how they are playing is where they start. Also they haven't even been playing the same position for most of the perseason games.

Hawk and Lansanah have been doing the dirty work of playing Buck position.... Bishop was playing Mack position which gets lots more chances at big plays....

You really think where they draft is effect this now after a couple of years after they've been drafted?

Hawk just plain has been playing better than any other LB......

Bishop has been looking good (some times great) against back-ups.

Bishop is the #4 ILB because Hawk and Chillar are better and Barnett probably will be....
