So, what's going on in this thread? Topic says something about we control our destiny, but I read that we're comparing Ben vs Aaron? Which is it?

Damn kids these days. Fine, I'll BITE.

I'd take Ben because he has two rings and bottom line, that's all I care about.

And if Rodgers was on that team, they might've had 3 by now. If Big Ben was on our team, we'd be 5-6 now.

But yes, he got some SB rings. Lets try to get Dilfer out of retirement. He ought to get us to the SB. Eli Manning, as well. Maybe we can give our 1st to the Texans for Rex Grossman. He at least got his team there.

This is going to be just as with Ken Anderson. One of the better QBs to ever play the game, but because he doesn't have a ring, he doesn't get into the HoF.

Terry Bradshaw does, riding the coattail of the Steelers defense, but Ken Anderson doesn't....

lol.

Big Ben's good, and I'd be thrilled to have him, but I woudn't trade Aaron for him. Don't care if he's won two rings--I care who gives us the best chance this year, next year, etc.

Heck, there haven't even been two superbowls since Aaron became a starter. With Aaron performing at this level in his first two years starting, I'd take him over anyone else out there.

i'd take Ben over Rodgers right now hell i would love to see his stats with our wrs.

But back on topic this is the stretch i was worried about when i saw the schedule. I can see us going anywhere from 1-4 to 3-2 in this stretch
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Damn, I posted a little chart 4 pages ago with the records of the teams in the playoff race......I was going to update it after each week so everyone could see just where The Packers sit.

I guess a trivial argument that has no real conclusion is more the liking to most.

Again this is my favorite time of year, tracking The Pack to the playoffs, so I will try again.

Stats:
Week. . . . . .12. . . ..13. . . . .14. . . .15. . . .16. . . . . . . .17

Back off topic--oh, please. Hines Ward, Santanio Holmes, Heath Miller are NOT slouch receivers. Ben's got a very good receiving corps he's throwing to.

I think I agree with RaiderPride. You've got a man-crush on Aaron and want to read others saying good things about him...

HAZER...

I truly think that you are kidding around. I think you get a kick out of the responses you get by bringing down Arron.

I think you are a die-hard Arron/Packer fan who just gets a kick out of posting this stuff just to get a "RISE" out of people.

In fact... I think you get a "RISE" out of Arron. I think you really love this kid. And you are just playing with us all here.

I think Aaron is your favorite player in the NFL. And this is just fun for you.

You are great for this forum... I mean that. I love your posts.

OK, back on topic. Buckeye, that was a very useful chart. Based on remaining schedule I'd expect us to make the playoffs.

Predictions:
Dal 11-5 (L to SD/@NO)
Packers 9-7 (L to Bal/@Pit/@Ari, unless Ari resting players then 10-6)
Eagles 10-6 (L to Den/@Dal)
Giants 8-8 (L to @dal/phi/@min)
Atl 8-8 (L to Phi/NO/@NYJ)

Travelling on the road to Dal, Minn, or Ari for the wildcard game I would not expect to make it past that first round, unless we play like we did in the 1st half of the 49ers game.

UN#$%^^%$#^%y^&ING BELIEVABLE!!!!

Would someone start another thread about the player preference and get this thread back on track!!!!!!!!!!

My two favorite teams this weekend are Washington and Tampa Bay, it they both win great, if one wins still a good weekend.

With the Giants losing to the Broncos, the next best team that is trying to get our wild card spot has 5 losses. We only have 4. That means that if we win the rest of our games, we are assured a position in the playoffs.

It certainly won't be easy, but I have faith.

Well if we are going strictly off of stats we know who was the best qb of all-time then 😛 Thats right Warren Moon if you count his CFL and NFL stats together :P

"dhazer" wrote:

Well, you come up with a better way to compare strictly QB vs. QB and tell us.

Don't say how many SB rings because that is an entire team effort. Stats are QB only. Sure, they include the WR's, but the QB has to get it to the WR before they can do anything with it.

Umm so you're comparing Roethlisberger to Dilfer and Grossman? He's much much better than that. I think you're all simply delusional because of Packer pride. Aaron's a fine quarterback but he's unproven in big games. That could all change in the future. Comparatively Ben's been a starter in the league for 5 years and has proven he can carry his team in clutch moments even if he doesn't put up eyebrow raising stats. Add that to two Super Bowl rings and Ben comes out on top. Rodgers just doesn't have a big enough repertoire to make an accurate assessment right now. Roethlisberger does.
