and for the record there was literally ZERO wind in the Windy City today...just cold.

Hopefully he finds what was working because what he is doing now isn't. Anytime he kicks a fg, I become nervous.

I get a tad nervous when he kicks as well. But we're stuck with him till the end now. If only all that leg strength could be traded for some accuracy!

I don't think we should give up on him.

I'm far more concerned about the holder situation than our kicker situation. Ignore your feelings about Crosby for a second and watch our holder closely. You might be surprised how often he bobbles a snap, gets the ball down slow, or puts it at a bad angle. While it may not entirely excuse the misses, it at least makes them understandable.

At the very least, you bring someone in to workout and maybe motivate him. Honestly, Crosby could be a real weapon if he can actually make the kicks. I think he has the strongest leg in the NFL, but something is wrong. They may need to make a change soon. Remember, you can just sign a kicker off the streets a week before a playoff game and he's good to go. Not like he has to learn anything.

I texted Wade right after that missed kick (I was on the road) to the effect of: "Do you think it's about time they at least start working out other kickers?" His response? Apparently his phone doesn't receive texts. Oh, well.

If we lose a playoff game on a missed kick or a three-and-out inside our own 30 after three consecutive runs -- I don't care if we used the inverted Wishbone -- I am going to be pissed.

Whether it is Crosby who is at fault, or Flynn, I have zero confidence in the kicking game.

Except he has to get used to a new holder. I wouldn't feel good about that.

Crosby has been <80% FG kicker even year 1.

He has been perfect<30 for his career 29of29

30-39 yards 07' 10 of 11, 08' 10 of 13, 09' 6 of 7
40-49 yards 07' 9 of 14, 08' 5 of 6, 09' 4 of 6
50 & > 07' 3 of 5, 08' 3 of 6, 09' 1 of 5

If Mason was kicking the ball through the uprights on kickoffs, then maybe this would be OK. Since he isn't this is far from alright. Kicker needs to be >80% FG percentage in my book.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!
