I'm not sure about you guys but idk what we are doing not making a move for a player in the secondary in free agency. I feel that this was the place in free agency where we should have improved the most. i know everyones focusing on the O-line, but there werent many good o-line free agents thanks to this uncapped year. Marlin Jackson is still out there and hes good. If we could find a way to bring him in he could immediately start for us opposite woodson. Al harris is old and i dont trust tramon covering 2cnd receivers yet. idk i just dont feel that. lemme know what you guys think.

Marlin Jackson has a history with injuries. And as old as we seem to be getting at the position, I actually think we don't need to take any CBs this year.

Woodson is the best defender in the league. Harris is a great corner, but may not be there next year. Tramon is a worthy starter. Pat Lee needs to be given another chance. Blackmon is a great returner, and a solid corner. Underwood looked raw, but has potential. I'm fine with another year with those guys.

Honestly, Woodson has nowhere to go but down. And the rest of the guys on our team outside of 35 year old, 'serious knee injury' recovering Al Harris, and Tramon, are big question marks.

I dont think we'd be making a bad move signing or drafting a corner. Waiting for the position to become a problem IS a bad move.

I think it says something that the AFC Superbowl representatives - who run a Cover 2 - did not even bother to tender Marlin Jackson a RFA tender.

I don't mind taking a look, but expecting him to be anything more than decent depth might be pushing it.

Tramon is a good number two in the secondary. I'm not sure why the negative comment about him.

Harris would be a good 3 or 4 I think.

Woodson is a perfect 1.

It's after 3 that I'm worried about. If I never see Bush on the field as a Packer again, I'll be able to survive for sure.

2010 will be Tramon's time to shine. He'll start the season with that #2 spot. Both cornerbacks needs to be able to cover #1 WR talent. Especially in an increasingly pass heavy league. SOOO many stacked teams pack too good of receivers to be just have 1 or 2 guys who can cover.

I remember wanting to draft Marlin, but as a safety. He's always been a tweener, and with the injuries maybe it's time to become a fulltime safety. Maybe worth a look. I wouldn't spend much on him though.

If there's a free agent you like, the best thing is to hope they aren't talked about in the first week or so, when the market quiets down and agents start to get a bit desperate.

When the leverage begins to swing back from the free agents to the teams, that's when Ted Thompson swoops and gets his 'value' selections.

Before taking any corners, I think we should take a strong safety that isn't a liability against passing.

I'm with Zero in terms of who's on the roster, though I'm not ready to give up on Pat Lee just yet - I still think he can turn into something really good for the Pack. That said, if drafting or otherwise acquiring another player or two @ CB will push Bush out the door, I'm cool with that.

The need @ safety opposite Collins is much greater, though, in my opinion.

beast (21-Apr) : I haven't looked into the QBs, but some have suggested Maye has some of the most extremely inconsistent tape they've seen
beast (21-Apr) : Well it also sounds like Patriots are listening to trade offers, not that seriously considering any, but listening means they aren't locked
Zero2Cool (21-Apr) : Maye needs to be AFC
Mucky Tundra (21-Apr) : Not liking the idea of the Vikings getting Maye
Zero2Cool (21-Apr) : Vikings HC joked that he may or may not have sent flowers to Bob Kraft. That's where rumor came from.
beast (21-Apr) : Can't tell if this is real or BS, but some rumors about a possible Patriots/Vikings trade for #3 overall
dfosterf (21-Apr) : One playbook to my knowledge. I was shooting for facetious.
beast (20-Apr) : I'm not sure they have different playbooks for different OL positions, and Dillard run blocking is supposedly worse than his pass blocking..
dfosterf (19-Apr) : The only problem with that is he isn't a guard either.
dfosterf (19-Apr) : Put him at right guard. That is where he will be coached. That is where he will compete. He is not even allowed to look at the LT playbook.
dfosterf (18-Apr) : Kidding aside, I hope the best for him.
dfosterf (18-Apr) : Went to a Titans board. One comment there. Not very long. I quote: "LOL" They don't sound overly upset about our aquisition.
beast (18-Apr) : OT Dillard has been absolutely horrible... like OG Newman levels
dfosterf (18-Apr) : Suit him up and have him stand in front of the big board as a draft day cautionary tale.
