The Cowboys signed #24 Dez Bryant to a five year deal worth 11.8 million. The signing bonus is not announced but the agent says 8.5 guaranteed.

Now Bulaga at #23 and the Packers know they will have to offer a slightly better deal.

This will help the Packers get everyone signed on time.

This does help, but if there's a big chance that Bulaga's agent wants to wait until Deymarius Thomas is signed.

Unless we come with an offer that is very close to that $11.8 million over 5 years, for the sake of getting him in camp early.

Good job by the Cowboys getting him in early. Bryant is a real talent IMO. The Cowboys got very lucky to be able to get Bryant, somewhat of a steal, at a positon of need. I hate that.

You can say the same thing about us getting Bulaga....minus the hate part.

Anyway, I was surprised when it was only 11 million...I expected it to be in the 20's...But then again, it was the later part of the 1st round.

I totally agree. And you can add the year before that with Raji. I just don't like the Cowboys and Jones. I would have sooner seen Detroit, or Clevland, or Seatle, or Tampa, or a number of other teams get lucky.

This is great, i was sort of worried about a crabtree-esq situation with Bryant holding out, wanting to be paid as a higher pick.

Hopefully this gets the ball rolling on other first round picks. Thanks Dez!

I think Dez signed at a very cheap price and the Boys will be loving it for the next 5 years. I don't see us paying that much for an O-lineman. Glamor positions get paid more bucks
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Now I'm gonna pay Bulaga.

None of that Crabdouche-induced fuck with MY slot bullshit from last year.

5 years.

15.864 million

8.97 million guaranteed

1.081 million roster bonus

5.405 million option bonus next year.

Done. Draw up the paperwork this afternoon, he can watch the rest of the draft in our war room as a Green Bay Packer.

Let's see how close I get.

Well, I hope this is a low price, or at least an average one for a player drafted in that position. Because if it's a high price, this signing is going to screw everything up just like last year when the Raiders gave Darrius Heyward-Bey that huge contract, which inflated the market for players drafted near him, including B.J. Raji.

Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : could*
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Safeties should learn from Xavier.

Mucky Tundra (28-Apr) : damn those vikings
beast (27-Apr) : UDFA Vikings sign TE – Trey Knox, South Carolina

beast (27-Apr) : Reportedly Packers have UDFAs Jennings and Jones
beast (27-Apr) : OL – Donovan Jennings, USF OT – Trente Jones, Michigan
TheKanataThrilla (27-Apr) : Interesting draft. A bit shocked that we didn't select an early CB. Definitely have Safety help. Pretty happy overall.
dhazer (27-Apr) : wow the last 2 picks are really stupid and probably will be special teams players Top 10 draft pick next year book it
TheKanataThrilla (27-Apr) : I think he ended up with a terrible RAS score
dhazer (27-Apr) : Anyone know what went on with Kitchens from Florida? At 1 point he was to be the Packers 1st round and he is way down the board now
