Chmura was wrong for what he said. That's obvious.
Finley was asked by a reporter what he thought about Chmura calling him a "moron".
Finley reacted like a young immature 23 year old man who takes great pride in himself.

Finley's reaction was not that of something I'd be proud of, but to say I don't understand where his words came from would be naive. A man who just entered the Packers Hall of Fame called you a moron publicly. I can't imagine that sits well with him or anyone.

Finley should have and could have chosen his words better. He could have said 'no question i disagree, but we're all entitled to our opinion'. Something candyass like that.

The thinking that Finley is turning into Owens is, in my opinion, quite pathetic to be honest. Finley has been on record more than once stating he knows he needs to be more mature and that he's working on it. Owens, has never said anything like that. There's a huge difference there. It's pretty sad some can't see it.

Let me know when Finley starts a fight with one of the star defensive ends on the team.
Let me know when Finley goes on a rampage on the side line berating his offensive coordinator.
Let me know when Finley insults his QB's decisions on the field, calls him gay, claims they're boxing him out so he can't get his stats to stop him from reaching incentives, etc ...

Ha...Finley, another Owens... shut the fuck up.

I think Fin should watch Bull Durham. The scene where the Costner is coaching Robins, the star pitcher, on how to interview with the press is perfect. All pro should be required to take a course in that.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.

I agree sometimes do I think Finley needs to shut up? Yes. Was there anything wrong with him chanting super bowl and dallas texas? I don't think so at all. That is eveyones goal and they need to have fun with it as well. Finley is not even close to being on Owens level yet. Could he be headed that way? Possibly.

Could he have handled the Chmura question with more class and in a better way and taken the higher road. He probably could have but I kind of like the candid approach since that's what we got.

KGB was asked during a preseason game in which he was on the sidelines how far he thought they were going and he answered the super bowl. Well the packers made it to the NFC championship game that year which nobody would have thought that in the preseason because they were 8-8 the previous year. I wonder if Chmura thinks KGB is also a moron.

On Chmura calling Finley a moron... If you're going to call someone a moron it should be for a much better reason. I wonder if Chmura thinks Favre is a moron for when Favre said we are going to the Super Bowl if you don't think so bet against us. Chmura probably already dislikes Finley and didn't like the context in which Finley chanted Super Bowl. Chmura has a radio show and needs something to talk about that does not relate to underage girls though him and Finley tend to act like them sometimes.

Finley should also not say he has no idea about Chmura or what he looks like because then you are a moron. There are pictures around/inside of Lambeau of Chmura of which Finley has probably seen. If he hasn't well every packer should have spent time in the packers hall of fame and at least know about the history of the Green Bay Packers. Finley grew up while Chmura was playing anyone who paid attention to football in the mid 90's knew who he was. I like them but they are both morons then again I am too sometimes. :pottytrain1:

I listened to the radio show. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this yet.

Chmura criticized the whole team and the coaches for this Super Bowl stuff.

He called Finley a moron in large part because Finley said "I've got one word for you: Dallas, Texas Super Bowl, Baby!" That's what they were laughing at when they called him a moron.

Chmura is out of line. All 53 players from all 32 teams should have the goals of contributing as much as they can to get their respective teams to the Super Bowl. Anything less, you wonder what they're doing in the NFL. I'm including the Lions in this too. Realistically, it won't happen in 2010. But you gotta have that mindset.

I'd rather see someone shoot for the stars then sit around and do nothing. If the former fails, at least they can say they tried.

Chmura's got something stuck up his butt.

I remember seeing Romo at a pep rally earlier this year and he said a very similar thing to Finley. Is Romo a moron... hang on, never mind...

Both sides are in the wrong.
Chmura shouldn't have called Finley a moron. Having your own radio show doesn't give you the right to say whatever you want to say.

Finley DOES need to pipe it down a little. I'm not saying he can't be confident, but he should keep quiet at some points.

Finley says, "One word...Dallas Texas Super Bowl."

Actually it does. Except on the radio, they bleep out naughty words and you don't have the right to slander, give our personal information, or violate copyright laws.

I think what you mean to say is having your own radio show, you should still have some common sense in what you say.
