Childress fine with waiting on Favre" said:
INDIANAPOLIS Not knowing doesnt seem to bother Brad Childress.
On Friday, the Vikings coach was hit early with Brett Favre questions by reporters looking for answers about the QBs 2010 status. In his own Childress-ean fashion, the coach said he has spoken to Favre a couple of times this week, but ultimately, nothing has changed regarding the decision on which everyone is waiting.
Again, I'm in the same boat. Favre can take all the time he wants. It's not like the Vikings have some a stud waiting in the wings at QB anyway (effin' lucky ass Packer fans).
As a side note, I'm actually interested in Favre's appearance on the 'Tonight Show' next Thursday..

Chilly probably already knows that Brett is coming back. He'll just let Brett announce it on his own time.
Brett wants too much to go out like Elway. He's not going to retire like this, not with gas still in the tank, and not after proving he's still unarguably a top 5 QB, arguably in the top 2.

Quick. Someone name who the Vikings took at #7 and #18 in the first round of the 2005 draft. Now name where they're currently playing.

lol
Thank God that was the FO prior to Chilly. Williamson was just signed to a one year deal with Jacksonville, I believe. And Erasmus was traded to Washington, and he eventually failed their physical. Don't think he's in the league anymore.
What a great draft.

The thing is......sooner or later (It will be sooner) Favre will show his age. It WILL happen, as it has for EVERY player. One of these years, he will come back, and bomb. He should quit now, while he still looks decent on the field.
