Shawn has mentioned a time out while posting and also a slow load time.
Who else is having these issues? I've not had any problems .... as of yet. But I'd like to have documentation of any problems people have ... posted in this thread for future reference. Thank you for your cooperation.

I've had a time-out once. I think a week or two ago. Not sure. It was just a one time thing for me.

Just for the record.. it has been flying along other than that timeout.. hence why I mentioned it with the time.

By flying along, do you mean, the site has been loading/functioning quickly?

It was lagging around 10:30am today again.. got a timeout on the main forum.. now again seems fine.
Does the host have anything running in the background on the server in the AM.. seems exclusive to the AM's.

I don't understand why you're having such issues. I've been in Wisconsin, Texas and Virginia and seems fine. Works fine on my phone and at the airports too. Sure wish I knew what the dealio was.

Couldn't tell you.. most of the time without issue.. just sporadic nonsense.. two different computers.. one DSL one T1..
Could it be something account related?

I run into small problems at a pretty rare rate.. When I click on any internal link (any link directing me to anywhere within the PackersHome forum index), about twice a week (sometimes more) I get a blank white page. Easily fixed with a refresh/reload, though.. so I never thought to mention it.

Are those the same 'time out' errors you were referring to?

Has the speed in the morning been more efficiently the last few days?

Yes.. I have to say it appears that the small query for the latest posts may very well been the issue.. at least it seems to be in the sampling so far on my side.

I've noticed it's more consistently fast myself. I'll click something thinking I have to wait and its already displayed.
Kind of disappointing the last posts could be the culprit. I should eSmack whomever suggested its implementation. ;)
I'll have to set some time aside and go over the code and see if I can improve it.

Go for it.. but expect a wooden virtual round house kick to come flinging back.. lol.
In my defense.. other forums of larger scale seem to be able to effectively have such a handy tool ... lol..

LoL
I don't understand how something that should be so simple can cause such a delay. I wonder if it has something to do with someone making a post while the query is being sent?

Maybe its just me, but I keep seeing posts by some guy named vikesrule that appear in purple. Is this some sort of glitch? I couldn't imagine someone using that color on purpose.
