Ah, been here ten minutes and already got to stick my nose in things

"Chiefs DB Fred "The Hammer" Williams got his nickname for his signature hit, a clothesline-like tackle that left receivers loopy. He also hammered opponents with his mouth. Before Superbowl 1 he boasted that he would take out Green Bay's star receiver Boyd Dowler and bring down Carroll Dale soon after. Instead, THE HAMMER GOT HAMMERED, and was knocked out of "his" Superbowl by Green Bay."

Ya see, having a long history does pay dividends--- Even the Viqueens count the first Superbowl

I like how you pick and choose examples to work with. You mention Kampman's work in tornado ravaged country, but conveniently don't talk about Allen helping out in flood ravaged Iowa, or in Hugo after the tornado destroyed a large neighborhood. You overlook Allen flying to Moorhead to promote youth sports. You also forgot all of the time and money he has donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He even has a special program set aside to raise money for the foundation, called Sack Diabetes.

He has made mistakes, to be sure. It took a couple of days in jail for him to admit that he was an alcoholic, and has been sober ever since (going on two years sober for him in case you are curious). One thing that I like about him is that he has always been open with the media regarding his arrests and suspensions. He takes full responsibility, never tries to blame it on someone else (i.e. Cedric Benson). That speaks volumes IMHO.

In all honesty, I hadn't known about Jared Allen's charitable actions, but quite frankly I am not interested in all the good he does, for what comes out of his mouth could be as much about volunteer work as it is about blasting his helmet into Rodgers' spine.

But then he'd be looked upon as a pompus prick.

Whether people like it or not, smack IS apart of the game. Some indulge into it, others do not.

The bottom line will be the final score at the end of 9-8-08

And Packers fans will, naturally, think he's a jerk for talking like that.

Here I thought this thread was all about Allen and his pic of rodgers with the porn stach

I am disappointed!

Anyways, it was pointed out that Allen had trouble getting thru our line last year..

He MIGHT get to rodgers a little easier, but I do not think he will cause to much trouble

This reminds me of that chump who used to play for the Vikings who was good for a season or two, who was obsessed with Favre. What was his name again?

Hovan

He was really good in Madden. Thats about it tho

I'll bet you anything Kampman matches him sack for sack, and that's WITHOUT opening his mouth and saying anything stupid.

I'll take that bet.

shield4life (4h) : Resign Nick Perry
uffda udfa (8h) : Need some strong sharp passionate voices on D. Daniels gives great quotes.
uffda udfa (8h) : Nick Perry seems to be the team leader as he was giving pregame speeches that seemed very uninspiring.
uffda udfa (8h) : Morgan and his 14 wonderlic. Ever hear him talk? Man, not a bright guy at all.
uffda udfa (8h) : Burnett needs to be replaced. That's our leader? Or one of them? No, thanks.
beast (10h) : For the secondary, I think Burnett/Haha are the leaders.
Smokey (10h) : GB needs a new motto : DEFENSE RULES ! , is intended to change the direction of the Packers focus moving forward .
Smokey (10h) : Thank You Zero.
Zero2Cool (10h) : Great reading a thread and seeing "defense rules" spammed in them all. Great reading material.
Smokey (10h) : DEFENSE RULES !
Zero2Cool (11h) : Think you need to defensive leaders. Front Seven and Secondary. We seem to lack both. Daniels is closest.
beast (11h) : Packers players had a right to complain when they were being bullied by Mike Daniels... just talking about Packers ;-) jk
Zero2Cool (11h) : It was the 26th largest margin since 1940. Feels much worse
Zero2Cool (11h) : thought it was biggest margin of victory in Conf Championship, I was mistaken.
Smokey (13h) : Wow ! The Packers got disrespected too !
Smokey (13h) : Hello ?
uffda udfa (14h) : Can't. MM burned them all.
Smokey (15h) : go pack go ?
wpr (15h) : Smokey AND Uffda, you both ca be placed in a timeout. Stop it.
Smokey (15h) : go pack go :)
Zero2Cool (15h) : STOP! Talk Packers or STFU. K thanks. :-)
uffda udfa (15h) : Ranting about everyone to stop talking Wolf while talking cooking appliances.
uffda udfa (15h) : I told you the truth. It upset you. U were hypocritical.
Smokey (16h) : yes I was, but he just ...
Zero2Cool (16h) : We all have the same ability to ignore someone. Exercise that. GO PACK GO!!!
Smokey (17h) : NOT YOUR FIGHT NONSTOP
Nonstopdrivel (17h) : ving again.
Nonstopdrivel (17h) : Calling him a bully? Telling him to leave? Seriously? This is the kind of shit that drove me away last time and is making me contemplate lea
Smokey (18h) : Be a good fellow and go pester another forum.
Smokey (18h) : It amazes me that you've remained in this forum for as long as you have.
Smokey (18h) : This is not your schoolyard to bully others, in fact I was that kid who stood up to the bully and kicked his ass.
Smokey (18h) : In the end the bully ended up in prison as everyone else grew up and moved on with their lives.
Smokey (18h) : I rate you with the hated schoolyard bully that tried to terrorize others to feel himself big.
Smokey (18h) : U2, it is obvious that you don't care if people like you or not. Well people don't.
uffda udfa (20h) : It's the same day every day at 1265. They crave sameness.
