I think another way of putting it is even if Harrell was healthy was he worth a first and second rd pick.
They must have been pretty high on him. |
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame? |

This thread is why I'm really liking what you guys have done here web-site-wise. I am very tired of the forums that are populated with those that have such an agenda that they must bash Ted Thompson at every turn, utilizing whatever ammo they can find. I really have nothing of value to add to this conversation, except to say the fact that Justin Harrell isn't producing isn't his fault, TT's fault, or anyone's fault except for what IMHO is a bit of bad luck. |
damn skippy I'm an owner. I currently own a full .00001924537805515393 % of the Green Bay Packers. |

My man Donald Driver (thanks to Pack93z for the pic) 2010 will be seen as the beginning of the new Packers dynasty. |

Sometimes you take chances, and HOPE they pan out for you. Will Harrel ever make it here? I don't know yet. But he better step it up soon. |

I think the man has 2 more years to prove himself. You do remember he was a rookie last year, right? |

Thompson likes to trade down, but he doesn't ALWAYS trade down. He must have had a strong feeling about Harrell. It seemed like a curious pick at the time, and it's only gotten more curious during the past year and a half. Hopefully Harrell can turn things around soon. We sure could use him. |

First rounders are supposed to contribute faster than others. Look at Hawk for instance. Drafted 5th, started. This is year #2, and he's likely to miss a good portion of it. So that's why I'm saying "heading for bust status." And no, not Canton. |

Aaron Rodgers was a first round pick, and he's had three years of no contributions, yet we're giving him more time. |

If Aaron hadn't been playing behind one of the greatest QB's ever, we would not have been this patient. I'm willing to give Harrell a little more time, though. |

Justin Harrell didn't have Brett Lorenzo Favre starting in front of him. The other thing is - positional differences. 1st round DTs should contribute right away. QBs take a little bit of time. |

Harrell would of gone to Denver with their 1st round pick. Who GB would of taken is unknown to us. Maybe we get Harrell and maybe we don't. In the end the draft isn't and never will be about one pick. While the Packers missed on that pick, they've made a lot of good ones. I personally don't like the pick but it's done with and hey if that's the biggest problem we have then things will be great. |
