I think you can confidently tell GoDaddy to shove it. ;)

What makes you say this? (I'm not disagreeing)

What.. albeit a short test.. but I have hit the site at different points and times, and haven't seen a bit of load issue.

Some of the loads snap like days of old.. never seen response times like that with the last host.

I agree. It's pretty awesome. I find myself being a click whore, just clicking through the site for the simple reason, its fast.

Are we still going good with this host? I'm anxious to tell GoDaddy to shovel it in their face, but want to make sure that it's working smooth for everyone before doing so.

I've noticed some hotlinks to outside-hosted graphics have been working sporadically in the past few days. Does this new host frown upon hotlinking?

Doubtful. But that would be great. I very much dislike members linking their sigs/avatars from other sites. It slows PH.com down.

Any graphic can be uploaded via attachment.

Well.. then make it more user friendly to upload pictures.. example.. I just uploaded a picture to my gallery.. I now have to wait for approval.. other sites I can upload it without a delay. This feature is about as close to site like Photobucket... however they handle the admin post upload by deleting unsuitable content. But it doesn't restrict those that stay within the guidelines.

Other options require you to add the image to a thread.. which then you can link from.. but that seems cumbersome.

Of course I had a different setup.. but I don't think that is a global option for all users to utilize.

Not bitchin'.. just stating why some choose alternative sites to upload. It is simply faster and easier.

Does this refer to me? I thought i asked if it was ok when i first joined, but i can disable my sig.
None of the above. It wouldn't have been a wasted vote. Obama and Romney -- Those were the wasted votes.

Actually Wade.. it is folks that host graphics at say a photobucket/imageshack and link them back to here. Then this site sort of becomes a slave to their bandwidth availability..

It's easier to navigate to another site, upload it, then get the link rather than creating a thread, add attachment and use the link from that? I think that's far easier.

The coppermine deal, just a test thing that I forgot to disable long time ago and when I remembered it seen lots of people using it so just left it.

There's no auto approve option for it, sadly.

Some of us use that single say photobucket account for hosting past PH.com.

But if you desire.. I will create a thread, upload my graphics and link them from there. ;)

See.. I used the coppermine feature. lol.

Ha. It's not a BIG deal, it's just a preference of mine, that's all. If it was inherently and issue, I'd have posted a user friendly method for uploading graphics.
