By midway through the 4th quarter I had finally hit a wall. This season was such a battle, with so many close games and trials to overcome, I was just spent. After that 4th down pass dropped incomplete and no flags flew, I just sat back and smiled. It has been slowly sinking in for the past two days that our team ACTUALLY DID IT!
Plus my wife would have killed me in my seat if I had woken up the baby. |

It took a couple of seconds after the incomplete for it to set in that we'd basically won. It all seemed to unfold so fast, and I was looking around the screen to make sure no flags were there. Felt extreme joy.
It wasn't until after the final kneel by the MVP that I stood up and raised my arms. Like some others, I felt a bit of wet eyes, but extreme happiness. World Champs. |

After Tramon broke up that final pass, I said over and over again, "Its that it? Did we win?" I was in denial. Then after the final snap, I started calling all my Packers friends. Good times.

As soon as the ball was in the air and it was incomplete, I had a jerk reaction - that is to wait for a PI flag. At this moment I wasn't over the 2009 season subliminally.
As soon as it wasn't called, I punched my wall, screamed yes!!!! and burst into tears.
I was on PackersHome chat and the first thing I typed, if I remember correctly was:-
PACKERS WIN!
PACKERS WIN!
BY GOD QUICKIE GETS HIS RING!!!
WOODSON FINALLY GETS HIS REWARD FOR TURNING IT AROUND!

I took a phone call and can't remember what I said...
I let it all flow, because I knew that the Packers deserved it. No if's no buts, nothing could taint it. |

I jumped of the sofa and sank to my knees hands in the air.
Then I heard aikman or buck saying there was contact and could hardly hear anything for a few seconds expecting them to say flag on the pay.
Then they showed the replay and I realised no flag, 4th down pass incomplete, change of possession.
WE'VE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just slowly got back on my feet and just stood there staring at the tv screen taking it all in.
Then I hugged my son and just remained quiet watching the clock count down to zero. |

Asshole. LOL. Yeah, I wasn't as excited as you were. I felt totally pumped during the game, doing things I normally never do in public. I was fist pumping like crazy, putting my hands up and whatnot. I actually did that right after that imcompletion, which felt somewhat weird, as the other people in the bar seemed to be confused about whether an incompletion would mean a Packer victory or not. Then I just stared at the screen a bit. Both in disbelief and thinking... "Is this it? I shouldn't be thinking about our draft position now, should I?". The German girl next who sat next to us actually took my hand and put it up like "Shouldn't you be partying?" Lol. |
