http://www.dailymotion.c...ter-beating-the-pa_sportGo to about 2:40. Mike T - "f'n great!" Favre - "better than f'n great!" Favre - "f yeah!" Mike T - "whoooooooooo!" Favre - "f yeah!!!" Awesome, I feel like punching the wall, lol. For everyone that is so obsessed with posting stats (i.e. INTs), etc. that is one of the main reasons you get Favre. Look at that team now. He leads two game winning drives in the same game in Foxboro against a team they have beat once in I think in the last 5 years and look at the teams attitude. Jets official team DVD for 2008 should be titled "f yeah!". |

Definitely. Great to see Favre enjoying himself out there, and it's definitely rubbing off on the team, coaches and fans! Great display of raw emotion there. |

Just finished watching ESPN first take with Skip and co. They showed Brett's commentary when asked if this was his last year. For those that have not seen it, Brett said he doesn't know, and is concentrating on the Titans. (These comments were yesterday.)
A couple of comments in the segment rang true for me.
One of the things said was that Brett was not exactly comfortable as a Jet through about 6 games, that he was still a Packer at heart through those games, but now seems to have embraced his identity as the quarterback of the NY Jets.
There was a comment that what Brett says is a "truthful lie". This had to do with the yes/no question as regards what happens after the season is over. You are going to have to see the re-run of first take in order to catch what they are trying to say.
They went on to discuss the probability/possibility of his return next year. The consensus was that if he hoists that trophy, that will be it. It was also pointed out that Brett Favre is playing the position better than anyone ever has at his age, and shows no signs of his age, or words to that effect.
Then they discussed what the Jets should do after this year. They pointed out that the Jets will find themselves in much the same position as the Packers were in last year...not my words...Skip's and co. They discussed if the Jets should draft a QB, etc. (Pretty sure they did)

I kind of hope he plays more than just his year. The NFL is a better place with Brett Favre, plus he'll be able to pad those stats!! |
